A good over night stay in Amberieux

On arrival the staff were welcoming and attentive... The dinner was very good and again the staff were great... The rooms are motel style on two floors at the back of the restaurant... Each with is own small outside seating area... The rooms are spacious and comfortable with a good sized bathroom which had a bath and shower

Pleasant hotel, good value.

Room was very nice, clean and bathroom was clean. Would have liked tea and coffee facilities but you don't often get them in France and Spain. TV was good. Food was nice in the restaurant although I had indigestion in the night, think there was something odd in the meal. Breakfast was very nice though. Really good cup of tea!

Exceptional doesn't explain our stay enough..!

We were driving from La Manga, Spain back to England and this was going to be our stop-off overnight. We left La Manga at 07:00 and knew it would be late when we arrived but *hoped* there would be some food either in the hotel or locally - we expected to get into the hotel around 20:00. At about 18:30 we got a phone call from the hotel informing us the restaurant was closing in about and hour - would wee arrive in time. "No" was the simple answer. There appeared to be no local restaurants open - it was Sunday - but the staff offered to put aside a "plate of ham and cheese" for when we arrived. Fantastic - we were tired and hungry. When we arrived we all got a "plate of ham and cheese" ... well actually it was a selection of cold meats, salad, couscous, and dressings. The bar was still open so we had some delicious wine and then we were offered desert ..! We got the cheese we craved - and it was sublime ... but on top of that we got apricot tart and chocolate mousse..! As I said, exceptional in SO many ways. A few more glasses of wine and off to bed. Morning was a buffet breakfast which was ideal... The rooms looked like they had just been decorated and the feel of the place was relaxed and welcoming... All the staff were uber-friendly and couldn't do enough for these weary travellers. If we're ever in the area again we know were we will be staying - they even have a small swimming pool for those hot summer days..! Exceptional+++ Charles Keenan Huddersfield, England

We stayed here one night during our journey from Paris to the French Riviera. Ideally located between A6 and A46, staff very friendly and responsive. I had to ask for the toilets to be cleaned again, was done immediately. They set up a 1 person bed for my toddler and gave us adjacent rooms for my parents, my kids and I. Food was good (diner), breakfast was good for 10.5€ per person. I would consider coming again Very modern with mini split ductless A/C and deep soaking tub. Very modern hotel

Excellent hotel with easy access

I was travelling through the region so only stayed one night but I was very impressed once inside. March is not the ideal time of year to see things at their best from the outside. The interior is not 'twee' but has clean, modern lines which I love. They have thought of everything to make for an enjoyable experience and many other hotels should aspire to these standards despite it being a fairly small establishment. I felt it deserved a better location but nothing disturbed my sleep and the bed was extremely comfortable. I absolutely loved the bathroom and thought it had all recently been updated when in fact it was refurbished three years ago. Everything is spotlessly clean. The food was divine - the best I had during my trip - and I could not fault the service. I would love to stay in this hotel for longer another time. It's a gem!

Excellent little hotel

Pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and facilities of this hotel. Comfortable well equipped rooms, decent sized swimming pool, friendly rabbit in the grounds, very good and reasonably priced restaurant.
