I did NOT check in. A day after booking a room I received an email stating there would be a $50 deposit. The area was dark, very few vehicles in the parking lot. Desk clerk informed me there would be a $100 deposit. I told I had received an email stating it was $50. He said it just went up. We were traveling on some very nice bikes so I asked him if there was any security in the property. The answer was no. I asked if we we could park on the paved area next to the office, out of the way. No, there is too much traffic (yet to be seen). I told him we would not be staying, and didn’t. We went across the road to a well lit, well secured Hilton hotel who let us park right in front on a nice secured, out of the way area.

Bait and switch?

Booked an accessible room. Checked in, transferred luggage into the room, then realized that it was not an accessible room. Texted the office as a reply to their welcome text, and waited 20 minutes, no response. I went back to the office and explained the situation to the hotel personnel. He then told me that the room I had booked was removed from service earlier that morning. There was no attempt to contact me, and he did not reveal the situation when I was checking in. So he had to issue me a refund and I had to load everything back into my car, and find another hotel. Not happy!
