So so hotel that needs a good cleaning

Property is in need of some love and a good cleaning. Positives-It’s in a great location. Great price. Check in was quick and easy. Bed is super comfortable. Shower is as nice. Tv was sufficient. Breakfast is a minimal continental. Coffee was good but no decaf. Negatives-The room had super strong perfume or air freshener smell that never dissipated. The chair was broken, two of the lamps did not have a light bulb. Walls are pretty thin and you can hear lots of stuff going on around. Maybe the worst part is it’s not too clean. There was water on the bathroom floor from the shower and I used a towel to wipe it up and the dirt that came up on the towel was crazy. I didn’t walk barefoot at all. Nasty.

This property should never be listed ongoing. I checked in and went to my room. The temperature was set at 66 degrees. There was no chair in the room so if you wanted to work with your computer, watch tv, have a snack or drink you either had to sit on the bed or on the floor. I called the front desk and was told that there were no chairs available😡. I have stayed in this La Quinta several times before but it just keeps getting worse!

The hotel had hair in the towels, dirty mold like spots on the shower ceiling, and a weird smell. Should have left when we saw the state of the room but we were exhausted and went to bed anyway. Woke up with bites all over and a body casing from bed bugs in the bed. Manager obly ever offered a $7 discount for the inconvenience - which didn't even come close to covering the cost of laundry and cleaning to make sure we didn't bring the bed bugs with us on the rest of our trip. Very disappointed. Would not recommend at all.

This review is not for the property but for expedia. They confirmed two rooms and charged immediately for them, on a sold out hotel. When we arrived, no rooms were available. It was 11pm. We had to change hotels. It is impossible to talk to a human at expedia customer service. The system actively prevents you for doing so. At the end the chat was the only option
