You'll find one of Sri Lanka's most important cities just a couple of hours from Alawwa. Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte is situated 60 kilometres to the southwest.

Negombo Beach and Mount Lavinia Beach are the places to go if you fancy somewhere to kick back and relax.

Escape on a trip to some surrounding natural attractions. 50 kilometres out of Alawwa, Muthurajawela Visitor Centre is all yours to explore. Kadiyanlena/Kataboola Falls, 50 kilometres away, is another excellent place to kick back.
