The prominent city of Apia is within relatively easy reach of Matatufu. It's found about 30 kilometres to the northwest.

Need some beach therapy? Feel the salty wind whip through your hair as you listen to the serene sounds of the ocean at Lalomanu Beach. It's the best kind of medicine around!

You won't have to be stuck on the road all day to see a bit of nature. Just 30 kilometres out of Matatufu, Papaseea Sliding Rocks is a fabulous place to sit back and unwind. More delightful surrounds await at Piula Cave Pool, 18 kilometres away.

Remember To-Sua Trench. It's a terrific place to wander around if you've got a free afternoon.

Want to check out Togitogina Waterfall and Papapapaitai Falls? These great attractions are very close to the centre of Siumu, just 20 kilometres west. Base yourself here for a little while and venture outwards!

Go on a day trip and see what's on offer in Pago Pago. This place is 100 kilometres away and not far from National Park of American Samoa, Mount Alava and Matafao Peak. That being said, you shouldn't forget about Fagatele Bay National Marine Sanctuary and Cloud Rainforest to Reef Hike either.
