Suspenders, bananas & daring tricks
Get your rocks off at the Spiegelworld’s hottest new Broadway show, Empire, coming to an Australian city near you soon.
You know it’s not an average night out at the theatre when a half-masticated banana goes flying past you mid show. And Empire, is anything but average.
Spiegelworld’s latest show, Empire, is a hipster’s Cirque de Soleil – less French weirdness, more New York sexy-cool. It’s a variety show where circus act meets rock music meets kinky contortionist. And yeah I should mention it’s for adults; naughty adults who enjoy bawdy comedians wielding half eaten bananas and hot ladies in suspenders and uncompromising positions.
It’s ninety minutes of outrageous fun housed in an antique circus tent complete with fairy lights, ornate mirrors and a fully stocked bar (open throughout the show). It’s an intimate setting with the performers regularly weaving through the audience. You can almost reach over and tickle the tail feathers of the passing artist.
Those of a more sensitive disposition, do not fear, it’s not all sex. Empire is a variety show and there are some unbelievable circus acts that stun the crowd.

Some performances are sheer feats of pure danger, which in the cosy setting make the show even more exciting (no safe barrier exclusions here!). And audience participation is an integral part of the comedy acts; front row ticket holders you’ve been warned.
So add some sexy sizzle and excitement to your summer entertainment and lock away your Empire tickets now.
