Hotel review | the NEXT best thing to come out of Brisbane
The fact I can choose to control my entire stay from a smartphone using their NEXT Hotel app is next level exciting and I’m not prepared for the awesomeness of the #wethinkofeverything facilities.

The NEXT app allows you to have a hush-hush stay and go from check in through to check out without any need to mingle with staff
As soon as I arrive, it’s clear that everyone is treated as a VIP guest (if you choose to interact with staff ;)) You’ll have access to their 24 hour club lounge and cafe, 24 hour onsite gym, free Wi-Fi, four mini bar items of your choice, fluffy robes and his/her flip flops for the pool which has handy private elevator access. No one likes to flash ‘n’ drip their way back to their room 😉
All rooms come equipped with a Samsung smartphone which doubles as a room card and a remote control to lighting and air control. Stay connected with free WiFi and local calls on the phone too.
Flying in or out? You can check your flights’ status from the comfort of your bed! The NEXT in-house TV programme has this feature available – convenience ✓
Tucked away via the valet parking entry NEXT to the hotel runs Burnett Lane, which has many bars dotted along the laneway leading onto Queen St Mall. Most of the bars are small in size, but gutsy in their menu choices with delish cocktails and light gourmet meals. Look them up; Survey & Co, Felix, Super What Not and Brew.
But, if you decide to stay in, Lennons Pool Terrace is so sweet!
Lennons Pool Bar and Terrace challenges the inner-city bar rivals on their cool factor, with a weekly schedule of themed events including food and drink (they’re also ea$y on the pocket).

Brekkie can be as simple or as generous as you like, with a choice of a sit-down A la carte or buffet at Lennons Restaurant and Bar
Lennons Restaurant and Bar exists within the original Lennon’s Hotel ballroom, giving the space a grand feel. Its large scale décor, creates a luxe dining effect.
After brekkie, it’s time for a power nap.
You gotta try the sleeping pods in the NEXT transit zone. These nooks give early guests a place to rest before check in, or in my case, a pit stop novelty that I must try out to believe it’s real. I’ve never seen these fab contraptions at any other hotel in my travels = hotel first ✓

ZZZZZzzz I was everything BUT sleepy sitting in these pods – I was like a big kid in a space craft 🙂
What lies beneath?
Only the very latest mega clothing chain to grace our OZ shores (and my credit card) Forever 21! Hot tip: go there the day you arrive, as the lines to try on and buy can get a little too long. Make note of your must haves, then pop back in when they open the next morning – fully stocked, and no lines, you’ll be in and out in no time ;)<br/
NEXT Hotel Brisbane is the first of its kind, with plans to grow their brand within Australia – next stop Sydney!
