8 music festivals that NEED to be on your bucket list

Hands up if you love music festivals!

Not only can you catch ALL of your fave artists at once, but there’s also the randoms, delicious food, fashion and of course being able to #livelastminute and dance well into the night (or next day) with your besties.

So, without further ado, here are our picks of the ultimate, bucket-list worthy, music festival bunch:

Coachella, California:

The ultimate celeb-spotting festival, join all of the cool A-lister Hollywood crowd as they descend on the Californian desert for a few days of awesome music and good vibes.

2016 Date: 15 – 17 April 2016

I think I see you.

Get me to California stat!

Shambhala Music Festival, BC – Canada.

Grab your hula hoops! This is one of our all time favourite festivals. Held in the middle of glorious British Columbia on a private farm in Salmo, Shambhala brings people from all over the world to dance to some of the hottest dance music around. Think unreal stages, tiki forests and a glacial fed lake which you can bath in. Shambhala is an alcohol free event and perfect for anyone who loves getting down to funky tunes.

2016 Date: August 5 – 8, 2016

Glastonbury Festival, UK:

Inspired by the 1970’s hippie movement, this action packed, five-day event is def the muddiest festival in the world – so make sure you pack your gumboots! 2016 Date: 22 – 26 June 2016

If electronic music is your thing, this is a festival not to be missed! Dance the days away at the one of the world’s biggest electronic music festivals.

2016 Date: 21 – 25 Jul 2016

I need flights to Belgium. Like right now.

Splendour in the Grass, Byron Bay NSW

For home grown music goodness, and plenty of A list internationals,  you can’t beat heading to Byron and pitching a tent for one of Australia’s best music festivals. Often called Splendour In The Mud- gumboots are a must!

2016 date: Friday 22, Saturday 23, and Sunday 24 July.

Aww yiss! Fly me to Byron Bay now.

Burning Man, Nevada:

Gather in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert with tens of thousands of other “Burners” in this one of a kind festival dedicated to community, art, self-expression and self-reliance.

2016 Date: 28 August – 5 September 2016

Nevada? Yes please!

Lollapalooza:

If alternative rock, punk, heavy metal or hip hop is your thing, then head to either Chicago, Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires, Columbia, Santiago or Berlin in 2016 (or really #livelastminute and commit to following the festival around the world!)

2016 Date: throughout 2016.

Fly me there right now!

Governors Ball Music Festival, New York City:

This two day Summer festival features the very best mix of music with rock, electronic, hip-hop, indie, Americana, pop and folk artists. However it’s not all about the music, with many NYC restaurant pop-ups and the food trucks to die for on show!

2016 Date: 3 – 5 June 2016

The air was thick with amazing. Keep the #VIP4Life throwbacks coming. #GovBallNYC A photo posted by The Governors Ball (@govballnyc) on
