After a busy work week, it’s hard to beat a coastal getaway. Especially when that coast is only 20 minutes from home! Having a friend in town was a great excuse for this Sydney sider to enjoy a staycation in beautiful Bondi, made even better by discovering the perfect place to stay. Here are 18 reasons why I think you’ll love Bondi 38 Serviced Apartments.
1. Location, location – Positioned at the top of Campbell Parade, the apartments are literally across the road from the icon that is Bondi Beach. It doesn’t get better than this.
2. That view – A beach front location means a beach front view. From the comfort of your apartment you’re treated to postcard-perfect vistas. And people-watching galore. You can’t beat waking up to this view.
3. SO much space – It’s rare to get the trifecta of spaciousness, views, and a reasonable price, but Bondi 38 scores a perfect three out of three. Our two-bedroom apartment is super roomy.
4. A stylish bedroom (and a great night’s sleep) – Despite its main-road location and our stay being on a Saturday night, I sleep like a baby.
5. Natural light – When you’re staying at the beach you want to soak up all that natural beauty, and that includes light. Our apartment features huge, gorgeous windows in the main bedroom and along the living area and kitchen so you can soak up those rays!
6. The perfect cosy corner – Nestle yourself in one of the comfy chairs in the living room and enjoy the streams of sunshine.
7. Pin-code entry – Don’t be put off by the fact that there isn’t a reception. The lovely Bondi 38 team will text you access codes, which feels oh-so-modern and makes you feel like you’re staying at a friend’s apartment.
8. Friendly team – Speaking of the Bondi 38 team, they are an absolute pleasure to deal with pre-trip and only a phone call away if you do need them during your stay.
9. Free Wi-Fi – Enough said.
10. A food-and-wine scene to devour – Bondi is foodie heaven, with a wealth of wining and dining options a short stroll away. I can highly recommend dinner at A Tavola.
11. A well-equipped kitchen – If you do stay in for a meal or two, Bondi 38 has got you covered. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – for an apartment to be used to its full potential, it needs a kitchen with all of the things. Bondi 38 passes with flying colours.
12. Foxtel – If you can drag yourself away from the mesmerising views, you have pay TV (including movies!) at your fingertips.
13. That Coastal Walk – Fitness fans would be crazy not to take advantage of Bondi 38’s proximity to the Bondi to Bronte trail. I’ve done it many times over the years, but feel like a total local when I hit the trail early, before all the out-of-towners arrive 😉
14. Group getaways – It’s not always easy to find apartments with wow-factor for group stays in Sydney, but your pals will be suitably impressed with these digs.
15. Stylish touches – The chic coastal design adds to the home-away-from-home vibe. Big ticks too for the modern kitchen and bathroom (complete with rainwater shower and Aveda tolietries).
16. A laundry – Maybe not a deal-breaker for a weekend stay, but for longer getaways, the laundry is a definite plus. Even having somewhere to hang your wet beachwear is a win.
17. The ideal homebase for events – Bondi hosts so many great events and you couldn’t ask for a better homebase for exploring them. Our stay happens to coincide with the annual Festival of the Winds. But you could find yourself there during Sculpture by the Sea, Flicker fest, City to Surf, or Ben and Jerrys Openair Cinema, to name just a few.
18. Luggage storage – When it comes to check-out time, chances are you’ll still have exploring to do and a suitcase would really cramp your ‘blend-in-with-the-locals’ style. Bondi 38 has you sorted, with a dedicated storage area, complete with large lockers to fit all your bags. See, they really have thought of everything 🙂
