Private ZIHUA spacious condo with view of the bay

Excellent, spacious, comfortable accommodations. We invited guest and had plenty of space. The infinity pool and lounge chairs provide a relaxing space when not on the beach which is a 5-8 minute walk. They provide pool/beach towels and plenty of bath towels. Zihuatanejo is hilly so be prepared to walk up and down steep hills to get around, and to and from the condo itself. Marco, the full-time attendant, is vigilant and tended to the property with meticulous detail and care. The appliances work well and the kitchen has most of what you need to fix your own meals if you wish, but there are so many delicious restaurants nearby on La Ropa that you don't want to cook other than having outstanding fresh fruit from the market. We stayed for 6 weeks. I would add a couple of table lamps to the bedrooms and living room area for more comfortable lighting. We rented chairs/umbrellas on the beach at various locations on a Day Pass which varies between 300-800MxPesos/day. Some offer food/drink with that rate which makes for a perfect day. English is spoken but not in abundance by vendors, shopkeepers and wait staff. The people of Zihuatanejo are kind, friendly, ready to serve and please, and professional. I felt very safe walking alone and in the evening hours. Aside from some wild dogs that randomly appear, I felt safe everywhere. It is our favorite town/beach resort of all of Mexico. We appreciate Emir and the owners for their prompt attention to our needs.

A few deficiencies

Location was a little hard to find. Unit itself very comfortable and well equipped. On demand hot water was unreliable and throughout the stay it was difficult to get a hot or even warm shower. On arrival washing machine not working which was surprising although problem quickly addressed by management company. Latter proved to be very responsive. No list of rules provided in the unit which could have been helpful. The biggest problem proved to be the attitude of some of the owners who gave the impression that not only were they not enamored of the "renters"( they clearly made the distinction) but also imparted an air of entitlement. We witnessed a 'prayer' group meeting held by said owner that went on for hours the first Friday(apparently every Friday) and basically occupied all of the common area around the pool, utilizing all of the loungers and seats. Damage to the loungers was evidenced and probably as a result of 3-4 people sitting on the edges of them. None us felt comfortable listening to and witnessing the meeting. Prospective renters of this unit should be made aware of this practice. This item alone would prevent us from considering returning to this unit.

Great location, close to beach and restaurants. Very easy to catch a collectivo or taxi on road below if you want to go into town. Apartment was spacious and clean and the complex is well-maintained and secure. 5 stars

Beautiful unit

We loved our stay at El Tular. A beautiful unit with plenty of thoughtful touches, well stocked kitchen to cook meals and extra beach towels for your use. Unit is on main level with pool, and just a short walk to La Ropa. Would stay again!
