The apartment was really quite cozy and just a stones throw from the lifts. We all took our morning coffee on the balcony and enjoyed the view of town and the Matterhorn, delightful! The host was very helpful and extremely approachable and we experienced no glitches. Would highly recommend this location to friends and family.

Beautiful apartment close to Matterhorn Express

The property was spotless and very comfortable for our family of five. We had my ten year old sleep on a pull away cot in the family room which was comfortable. The kitchen though small is well stocked with cooking supplies and we cooked in three nights and made breakfast every morning. The views are spectacular and it’s a very short walk to the lift and not too long into town. Really great restaurants and groceries within minutes. The place was nicely decorated and felt like home. We made awesome memories there toasting the new year from the balcony as fireworks exploded over the town and lit up the mountains. Would highly recommend! Also, Nikki was super easy to communicate with.

Excellent Apartment in Zermatt

Lovely apartment, good size for the family. Excellent lounge area and separate kitchen and everything we needed for our stay. For us, the location was the final icing on the cake. 100m from the Matterhorn express and 150m from our favourite bar. All in all win win.

Great property in Zermatt

We really enjoyed our stay at this condo. It has 2 bed rooms and served our family of 5 (2adults and 3 kids) well. The living room is spacious with a large TV. Kitchen and a washing machine are a plus. Condo is very clean and is actually nicer than the pictures on VRBO. It is a couple minutes walk to the Zermatt glacier gondola station and a rental ski shop. A storage for your skis is available on the first floor of the condo. A 5 minute taxi or 15 minute walk from the Zermatt station, where you can enjoy shopping and eating out. Would definitely consider returning to this place on our next visit.

Great location. We enjoyed our stay.

The location of this condo is great - close to the lift and to town. We could walk everywhere. There are about 25 steps up to the entrance door which I wasn’t expecting but we are in good shape so it wasn’t an issue. Overall it was smaller than I was expecting from the pictures, especially the kitchen. The kitchen was well stocked though. We were disappointed the fireplace didn’t work but the heat was sufficient to keep us plenty warm. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

Perfect in every way

Ann was the most gracious and wonderful host. Her recommendations were excellent and she made herself more than available during our stay. The apartment is in the most ideal location. It’s is a 5 minute walk to the lift and 10-15 min walk to restaurants, shops, après-ski and the rest of the village. The views are spectacular, we enjoyed a few evenings cooking in the well equipped kitchen and just relaxing with games and movies in the large living room. You will absolutely love this place!!

Wonderful apartment close to Matterhorn Express gondola

As a family of 4, we really enjoyed staying in this apartment, which is only a 5 minute walk from the Matterhorn Express gondola. The apartment is spacious, and we appreciated having two bathrooms for the family. It is only a 10-15 minute walk into town, which was very practical for groceries, coffee from one of the local cafes or take out. It should be noted that there are about 20-30 steps to get up to the apartment from the street, which may be relevant for older guests or families with young children. The host Ann was incredibly helpful in providing us with information/tips and answering our various questions about skiing in Zermatt.

The location was ideal! A very short walk to the lifts. Beautiful condo to come home to. Ann was very helpful with information prior to our trip. We are very sorry we had to cut our trip short but would love to return and stay there again someday.

Amazing stay!

Everything we had hoped for and more. The location of the property cannot be beat, and is perfect for ease of access to getting on the ski lifts. Also convenient for walking into town, with access to all restaurants and shops. Ann is an amazing host and is extremely responsive to all messages sent. The condo itself had all necessities and we were not left wanting anything else. We hope to return some day and hopefully will book with Ann again :)

Apartment is very comfortable and clean.

The apartment has everything you need for a stay in Zermatt. It is both comfortable and spacious and has very good cooking facilities for four people. This is important as eating out in Zermatt is expensive. Great location. Very close to the ski lifts/ train(for getting to the summer walks) and the town. Totally enjoyed our stay.

Love this place!

This was such a wonderful experience. The apartment is perfectly located in Zermatt. The Matterhorn watches majestically over you while sipping your morning coffee or afternoon libation. Ann made everything very simple and straight forward, in terms of communication, procedure, etc, so going to Ann's we expected everything to be great. But ! once we got there, everything exceeded our expectations. The property is exceptional. Situated super close to the ski lifts to Matterhorn express (less than 300 meters), with an incredible view of Matterhorn (better than the picture that is shown), visible from the balcony and also the master bedroom, fully equipped, with that Swiss quality of everything! For a family of 4, travelling from NY, everything was more than I expected in terms of quality. Thank you Ann.

Perfect Apartment, perfect location!

Haus Gornerwald is in a perfect location for both the lifts and the town. Both can be reached in a matter of minutes - and there is a bakery at the end of the road selling fresh croissants for breakfast. The apartment itself has lots of room and fabulous views of both the town and The Matterhorn. Everything we needed was provided for. Ann is very helpful and at the last moment accommodated us when we brought an extra guest without any qualms. There is so much space that five adults did not get under each others feet. We all felt very comfortable. I have visited Zermatt on many occasions and I can honestly say that you would not be disappointed if you booked here for a holiday.

Absolutely top-flight experience! Property is immaculate, and the location is to die for! And what a fabulous hostess Ann is!
