Exceptional experience, as always! We have been to this hotel 5 times because every time they prove their 5* rating is not just about their amazing hotel, but their staff is outstanding.
From arriva to departure, we feel wecomed, and cared for. Have never been in a hotel that does everything so well.
AND every year they seem to make the hotel better!
This year they opened an expanded spa: 4 types of saunas, indoor pool, hydrotherapy pool, pool-side bar/restaurant, beautiful indoor & outoor lounging areas.
This on top of the infinity pool that first seduced us to book here: hanging out over the med looking down the Portofino Peninsula in a warm pool in winter? OMG! Paradise.
Breakfast is the best. Smoked salmon, fresh fruit, great assortment of cheeses, wonderful baked goods, eggs cooked to order (as well as chafing dishes of fried eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage) prosecco, juices, coffee made to order. All overlooking the Med and the harbor of Rapallo.
The desk staff, bell hops, house keeping, dining staff, spa staff - every single person seems happy in their work and makes you feel welcomed, pampered.
We have raved about this hotel for years: and we are already thinking about when we will go back.
We spend 50-75 nights a year in hotels of many types in many parts of the world: this is our favorite. Don't hesitate!
