This hotel has best location; it’s next to Tainan train station and has a mall in the building. The staff were very nice. Room was clean, roomy and has large bathroom. This was the fifth time we stay here and it will be the only hotel we stay in Tainan.

This is a really great hotel. The bar downstairs was very friendly and our room was incredible . We also ate at the 38th restaurant and the food was really good too. I would highly recommend as the location is also super convenient right near the train station.

Everyone is friendly and helpful! I know it is the right choice that I decide to book this hotel from the minute we stepped out of the car. The checking in is very smooth, Mr. 黃 is very professional and patient, he explained every detail about my booking. The young lady, sorry didn’t catch her name, also not only helped to book the restaurant, but a nice view of the place.

We had a very comfortable stay at the Shangri-La. The room was really spacious, and we had a terrific view. The front desk and concierge staff were very gracious and helpful. Also, we had New Year’s Eve dinner at the hotel’s Shanghai Pavilion at the top of the hotel. Our waiter (who I think is the manager) helped us make our selections, and it was fantastic! The hotel is also attached to an upscale department store which is fun to visit. It The hotel is also across the street from the local train station. You can take a fairly short ride to Kaohsiung, which is a cool harbor town and perfect for a day trip.

Shangri-La Tainan — although the facilities are somewhat dated compared with other five-star Shangri-La hotels, the staff are outstanding and the service is highly professional. It truly makes guests feel at home. Very impressive! I stayed at Shangri-La Tainan for a full two weeks this time, and I am extremely grateful. The excellent service provided by all the staff at the Horizon Club was truly touching. Many thanks once again!

Great location right next to the train station. Most of the buses for attractions were also close by. Shangri-La rooms and service never disappoints. Spacious rooms and comfortable beds. The sento, sauna and steam room were a wonderful treat after a day of sightseeing.
