The room was clean and appeared recently updated/modern but there was no hot water, wi-fi or access to the flatscreen TV (all advertised amenities on the website). Despite repeatedly informing the front desk of this- nothing was fixed during our 2 night stay. We were given a partial refund for the inconvenience but I will not be choosing this hotel again. Also the pool was in poor shape when we arrived and then appeared to be being cleaned for the rest of the stay so also not accessible. Sad because it is perfectly situated for a beach stay.

Overall we were happy with our stay at the Sea Latch. I feel like some of the reviews are overly harsh, or maybe from a different experience we had. The main building we stayed in was recently renovated and every room had its own balcony. The beds felt clean even if the carpets were a little stained. The bathroom was larger and also clean. Overall it was a good value for a last minute trip with the big reminder that it’s beachfront. WiFi was not working but honestly if you are beach front and are worried about being on your phone, maybe you should reevaluate the situation! Also it seemed like they were actively trying to fix the WiFi, given it’s the start of the summer season. We would stay again, especially since it’s one of the only hotels on York Beach that allow dogs.

WiFi didn’t work for the entire first day & part of 2nd which meant no cell/computer ability or TV) NO HOT SHOWER. Even after I went to office & they acted like they were shocked. Plumber was on site & still no hot water. Not really sure what is wrong with this property but it needs help. Although, I felt our room was clean except stained rugs & beds & AC were comfortable.

The pool was filthy, 1st room AC wasn't operating. I asked about it and they said they were trying to reach me to switch rooms, no phone call or email to that affect. There was no hot water for 3 days and the water was completely shut off for one day without warning. The wifi wasn't working which meant no TV or internet access. They said they would comp 25% of the stay but I would no recommend this hotel.

When we arrived at check in there was no wifi or cable due to a power outage that they were fixing. We went out for the day and when we came back still no wifi/cable and the office was closed but they left a note on the door with a number to call. Multiple calls and a voicemail, no answer or call back. Then we realized early the next morning when we would leave the hotel the door wasn’t locking from the outside. We were only offered a 25% refund from the hotel. Completely unacceptable.

I chose that motel because of the location and price. On route one, you simply have to cross the street to be on the beach. The staff was welcoming at the office and gave me good restaurants suggestions. The room was at a very nice size for one. Very clean. Was renovated a little more than a year ago. Kitchenette, micro wave, nice shower in a large bathroom. The bed is important when you are far away from home. Outside you will find a taco truck ruined by Jacob. He served me a great americano and we had a nice conversation about tourism and economy. Great staff all around .
