Great, easy access to major York tourist sites from the hotel. Excellent breakfast buffet with plentiful options. Near lots of either dining options in the old town and outside historic city gates, just down the street. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.

Lovely clean hotel in a good location

Excellent hotel in a brilliant location. Staff are friendly and helpful! Clean and cosy rooms Only negative is the parking, we had a late checkout at 2pm and was informed that we would need to move the car at 2 which meant we had to try and find alternative parking for a couple of hours whilst we eat lunch

Fantastic hotel, great rooms and fab location.....

The hotel is gorgeous and really great base for enjoying fabulous York.. The staff and rooms are excellent but breakfast was very disorganised and food was lukewarm at best. If the breakfast was better this would have been outstanding.

Lovely hotel nice decor in the rooms. Overall very clean. Beds very comfortable with good quality linen. Pillows were a bit on the gutless side, but lets face it pillows are hard to get right and good ones are pricey. Breakfast was reasonable with a newly refurbished breakfast buffet area which was nice. Need to think about how the food is kept warm,hot plates would be a good starting point. Really welcoming staff who were attentive, helpful and friendly. I will be going back again.

Room was very nice as was all the staff. Breakfast was also decent - nice coffee and porridge. Staff working at breakfast were also lovely. Parking is a real issue - theyve done the best they can re sending people info prior to check in. We had looked up a payable carpark before we arrived and even that was full as well as the hotel car park. We had to move the car 3 times in 24 hrs. Reccomend getting the train if possible.

Great city stay for family

Hotel was in a great place to allow easy access to city centre. Staff were friendly and room was great. Bed was comfortable and our son slept well on the extra bed put out for him. Air conditioning was quiet and room was very clean and modern.

York- worth a stop

First of all- York is an adorable old town with a ton of history. So it is worth a visit. Probably 1-2 days max. Took a fun walking tour and had the Yorkshire pudding.

We have stayed here before and liked it but felt standards have slipped. Room not as clean, mould in shower, shower not draining properly. Breakfast a big disappointment, hot buffet was a shambles as not enough of everything. Staff were trying hard but systems were obviously not in place. Dirty glasses and cups. Mentioned breakfast at check out and were told that she would pass on our feedback but no apology. Sadly we won’t return to this hotel.

Lovely room and excellent customer service! We opted to add breakfast which was well worth it, having both made to order dishes and a continental buffet with great options. Would highly recommend!

Fab stay! Would stay again!

Fab stay, really accommodating staff. Facilitated a late checkout really easily. Only downside was king bed was 2 beds pushed together so slid apart in the middle of the night
