Would stay again

Friendly staff, quick check in. Room clean and pretty quiet, comfortable bed, good shower. Car park a couple of minutes walk away. Only thing that could be a downside is limited evening meal options - pasta ! - but lots of places to eat a few minutes walk away. Would stay again.

Overall a good place to stay but the service needs a real upgrade , checking in took over 20mins with a back and fourth looking at emails and denial we had booked the hotel ...in the end it got sorted ..system error ! Breakfast reminded me of Faulty Towers but with dirty dishes on lots of tables certainly stayed at better in York

I had a wonderful stay at York Indigo hotel. The design of the rooms was great, the bed was comfortable and had an enjoyable stay. The only down fall with the room was the lid on the towel and hearing people walk above, but nothing that was a show stopper. The best part of the stay was how extremely help the staff was, especially Sam for providing local tips and places to checkout. I truly enjoyed the gate coffee shop Sam recommended. Thank you!

Lovely boutique feel - shame about food/drink

We loved this hotel! The rooms were very clean and the decor was lovely and modern - it felt like a lovely treat! We would only mark down due to the quality of the breakfast and cocktails. I couldn't taste any alcohol at all in mine and we don't think they were value for money. I was also disappointed that frozen spinach had been used for the eggs florentine. Such cost savings really tarnished the experience for us. Every member of staff was EXCELLENT though - the breakfast team were particularly great!

Great hotel, great location

I've stayed here twice now, both for events at the Barbican which is a 5-10 min walk away. The hotel is lovely, rooms are very comfortable and decorated to a high standard. And the staff are friendly and helpful. It's on the edge of the city with plenty of places to eat and drink nearby.

Great stay!
