One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The location is perfect—just a 5-minute walk to shopping malls, restaurants, and subway stations. You can lie in bed and enjoy a picturesque sea view. The staff were helpful but not very flexible. The hotel entrance was difficult to find on both the 1st and 2nd floors, which made check-in a bit frustrating. If you’re arriving from the Sakuragicho direction, be prepared for a fairly long walk. Breakfast was just soso, and very crowded.

Lack of flexibility and customer service

The place is clean and the rooms are comfortable. However, I found the hotel disappointing. First of all I had to pay for the day when I arrived. And every time I purchased a breakfast or any other item, it needed to be paid upfront. As opposed to charging things to the room and then just settling your final bill on checkout, which is what most hotels do. They have your credit card on file so I’m not really sure why they are charging upfront for everything. In addition, the front desk staff need to improve their English. Instead of being able to communicate English, they usually have to go back to the manager’s office behind the desk and get an explanation writing. Each room should have a Nespresso machine. A coffee maker is standard and should not be only for suites. Finally, the gym should be open 24 hours or at least as of 5 AM. 6 AM is too late and if you are travelling from North America and are jet lagged, you may want to use the gym at odd hours.
