The park is beautiful. The room was comfortable but there is no lounge area The quality of the food and menu choice at the dining facility is not rave worthy in September.
If I could give it zero stars I would. The room is a tiny closet. The website does not say that all facilities are closed but EVERYTHING was closed. Was sent to Old Faithful area for food 45 min away only for them to be closed also. We ate from a vending machine. No TV which wasn’t a big deal but facility also hard to get in and out. A older man even fell as we were coming in on the steps to get DOWN into the first floor room! Avoid at all cost. Mold in the shower. Might as well tent camp because it’s basically the same thing.
Yellowstone is an awesome place with amazing sights to see. I had two complaints about the hotel: no cell phone connectivity or Wi-Fi there and the beds are too small being of double size.
The park was beautiful but since it is getting near the end of the season, it appeared that staffing was low. Our room was do-able for us but I was surprised we got a room with wheelchair accessibility which I didnt request. It was fine. Staff was pleasant.

Room was clean, staff was helpful and friendly. Parking lot didn’t seem to have enough spaces when rooms were full.
Towards the end of the season is not the time to visit. Everything was being run down. Insufficient staff meant our room was not ready on time, there was only 1 restaurant open and we were lucky to get a reservation at 9pm as there was nothing earlier. By the time we finished our mean the staff were sweeping up under our feet. Bathroom was exceptionally small and fittings were a bit scruffy.
The location inside Yellowstone National Park is great, but it would be my last choice of where to stay in the Park. (And we have stayed in a number of others). The room was small and showed signs of wear. There was absolutely no view where we were in the “Deer” lodge building. It was not quiet as we could hear people next door as well as on the floor above us. Dining options were limited to the single restaurant where we received a truly horrible meal. My linguini was tough and the seasonal vegetables were limited to perhaps ½ ounce of zucchini.

Felt like a very sleepy and forgotten corner during our stay. Room's outdated but comparable to other hotel's in the park. Breakfast is the quality of Holiday Inn Express but costs $20.
The room was outdated and there is no air conditioning or tv. It was fine as we were out exploring Yellowstone during the day. Be careful in fall, winter and spring as some places close for the season. The Grant village restaurant required dinner reservations, as did many of the sit down restaurants. They say they send an email ahead of your stay to notify you and allow you make reservations ahead of time, but I booked through Expedia and I don’t believe I was sent an email. Upon hearing that is what they do, I searched for it, even in spam, but did not see an email about dining from the park.
The room was quiet and cozy.
Lodge was great. Restaurants was definitely not!
For dinner, my mussels were spoiled. Manager comped it.
Breakfast was more limited than a cheap motel. $20 for eggs, bacon, sausage. Potato’s were yucky. Yogurt bowl was empty. Pastry was frozen solid. Very disappointed.
Usually restaurants in park are excellent. This one was a huge disappointment!
Buffet breakfast waste of money as food was COLD. When mentioned to waitress all she did was take food away. Didn’t offer another plate of warm or hot food.
