Breakfast was good. Not a fan of the condiments like the butter being a shared tub that everyone stuck the knife into. If you don't know how the Waffle maker works and how much batter to put in. You will struggle with this. But overall a very nice place to stay.

Clean hotel and a nice location.

This was a nice hotel to stay at when we visited Winterset. The hotel was extremely clean. Spotless. Breakfast was nice and no problems during our stay. We were able to easily drive to see all of the Covered Bridges in the area from this hotel.

We found the Covered Bridge Inn to be perfect for our needs. The Owner was very accommodating. My husband is unable to carry/lift things so the Owner came out and helped me bring in our luggage. He was very pleasant, recommended places to eat and things to see. Great stay, would recommend.

The eating area was very clean and neat with good food variety. Overall the host was very friendly and made us feel welcomed! Impressed with Winterset downtown courthouse area and the covered bridges nearby.

Smells horrible , they don’t speak English , they live their so if u need a key at 1 in the morning you have to wake them up and their mad and in pjs very unprofessional

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. My only complaint was the breakfast. There was no measuring cups for the waffle mix and I had to guess to get batter. The egg (I think) were an odd color and the biscuits were dry and hard. Butter was not in original packages and was gross.

The room was O.K. for a stay in the area. The beds were not as comfortable compared to other hotels that I have stayed in, but the room was clean. The internet worked great. A huge plus is that the floors were wood, so there were not nasty smells like some hotels that have carpet. I would stay here if in the area again.

Continental breakfast was a bit beyond basic - included fresh fruit - and the usual cereal, toast, waffles along with sausage, scrambled egg whites, and biscuits/gravy. A problem with the (apparently recently renovated) bathroom causes the lower score on the facilities.
