Historic old building retains the overall character of the building and time period. Rooms are large, but not very cozy. Windows have blinds that do not close well so with bright lights outside it is disturbing at night. Staff were pleasant. Wine and cheese in the evening was very nice. Weather was great so we sat out in the very nice courtyard and enjoyed our wine and a game of cards.

Loved the renovated Cotton Mill turned hotel! Beautiful rooms, delicious breakfast, added perks of wine and cheese and cookies and milk in the evenings. Late check out time. Well worth the cost!

This hotel is not very convenient location, close to downtown Winston Salem.The vintage feel of the property was lovely, but along with that came the creaking of the old floor boards from guests walking in the room above mine…while I was trying to sleep. Also, the windows were sealed, but with A LOT of very visible dust and cobwebs behind the glass. Hopefully, you won’t want to open the blinds as I did. The room and bathroom were clean with well-appointed necessities. The room contained a coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator. The included breakfast buffet was okay. I did not partake in the unique added extras of evening wine and cheese, and bedtime cookies and milk.

The personality of the historic building is pleasing with delays to tell the history. The staff is great. The breakfast is hot and good. And little touches like warm cookies in the evening and the house cat are special.

Beautiful historic property with a wonderful staff. Amazing amenities like wine and cheese happy hour and a delicious breakfast buffet every morning. They always have tea and coffee and yogurt out and waters. The cat is an amazing addition and such a wonderful extra that makes you feel like you are at home. I will say we were unfortunate to have people staying above us who decided they wanted to party until late at night and that hotel is definitely not designed for loud party animals as it was very difficult to sleep my second night but that is not the hotel‘s fault
