Poor house keeping

The hotel was nice however the money we paid for our room the house keeping struggled to keep fresh towels in our room. We had no service for 3 days and had to go to the front desk for towels. I was very unhappy with that .

The room was not ready when we arrived. They allowed us to go see the room before check-in and noticed that it was not very clean to begin with. The area outside was in disrepair and we just didn’t feel comfortable staying. We went down the road to a different place.

The office was closed so we had to wait for help checking in. The room was okay for sleeping, but it was tiny and cramped. It had NO refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, or hair dryer. There was a major maintenance issue: the bathroom sink was clogged, making it difficult to use. The attached restaurant closed earlier than the posted hours so we couldn’t get anything to eat.

The girl who greeted us when we checked in about 4 PM on Friday April 18th was abrupt, almost rude, and not helpful. She was far more interested in what was on her laptop than helping us check in.

New plank floors upstairs above us were very loud with creaking noise because planks weren’t installed well. Kept me up late as they were walking a lot and hear every step. Normal walking is not the problem. Could not fall asleep to midnight! Pillows need to be upgraded. They were very flat. First time I’ve had issues. Thanks

Pleasant place to stay

For an older property from a different era, Holiday Motel was nicely updated, clean and quiet. Winnemucca has the 1950's gambling boomtown feel so there were a number of hotels in town built during the same era as Holiday Motel. That said, I think we chose wisely staying here. It was clear they made an effort when choosing how to update the rooms. The beds were comfortable and the room's amenities were nice. The staff was helpful and friendly.
