The living room is cosy whatever the weather thanks to a Lakeland slate fireplace housing an electric stove, sideboard and two comfortable sofas. There’s a smart TV if you can drag your eyes away from the stunning picture window where you can glimpse Lake Windermere through the trees and surrounding gardens. Enjoy this view while you eat at the small dining table tucked into the window nook.

The bedroom sleeps two people in a kingsize bed. There is plenty of clothes storage.

The newly fitted modern kitchen has everything you need for preparing meals, including a full size combi oven (inc microwave), induction hob, fridge, freezer, slimline dishwasher, kettle and toaster.

For lovers of the outdoors there are plenty of walks direct from the property and the National Trust Fell Foot Park is only a 10 min drive away where you will find lake access, cafe, changing facilities and watersports including paddleboarding, row boats and kayaks (seasonal hours apply).

Spa goers will enjoy a visit to Holte Spa at The Swan Hotel, Newby Bridge, just 15 min away. Think thermal experiences, jacuzzi, pool, gardens, sauna, relaxation and lounge areas. 2hr spa sessions cost from £35. You can also pay for day use at their main pool & gym.

Bowness is 4 miles, a 10min drive away. There is a bus stop at the end of Birks Road (100 yds away) with around 6 buses a day available. Plenty of taxis serve the area at a cost of between £13-15 for a trip into Bowness. EV car charging available at Park Cliffe just a few minutes away (charge applies).
