We put our towels that we wanted to be changed in the bath. When we returned from the hotel all the bath towels had been taken and none had been replaced. We asked for more towels and we were given hand towels. We asked several. Ore times and some bath towels were brought from another hotel

Clean room of good size with some refreshed fittings and everything working well. Good bed, if a bit short (though only for very tall folks). Super helpful staff, unpretentious and smiley. Only 'complaint' is that I think I read on Expedia that reception closes at midnight... But then told that I could have got into the room even if I had arrived later... Ironically this meant I rushed and stressed when I was delayed on my journey by other things. Not their fault ofc but had I known that 5 mins either way want going to leave me without a bed to sleep in would have made it perfect for the price.

Room could do with a refreshing up. Small holes in curtains, front of desk broken, lots marks on paint work, only seem to mop centre of bathroom floor. Main thing bed was clean and comfy x

I love this Days Inn. The wonderful staff seem to care for it like it was a proper family run hotel. There is a wild garden outside for the bees and seed poles for the birds and recycling bins outside the main entrance, IN A MOTORWAY SERVICE STATION !! Always a warm human and funny welcome. The staff here make it much more than just another truckstop. Thankyou x

Very shabby furniture, some of it broken. Side tables look to have been made with odds and ends and a few panel pins. Carpet had not been vacuumed, bathroom floor filthy, toilet seat either not cleaned or permanently stained, small double bed very uncomfortable, very noisy guests, hole in floor just outside bathroom, no sockets by beds, one socket by desk but defective (cannot get the plug right in and if you try the lights flickered). It’s room 28 if you want to go and check. Also smoking seems encouraged in the entrance way meaning either walking through smoke to get in or finding a lingering smell in the lobby. Reasons for not being one star: bed linen clean, room very warm, staff friendly, good dog walking areas, no road noise despite it not being far away. I get that it’s a budget hotel but I’d be embarrassed to own and rent out a property that shabby. We moved on to a hotel in the middle of Winchester that was the same price but infinitely better and will never ever stay in a Days Inn again (this was the first and last time). We chose it because of the positive reviews so maybe we just got the worst room in the entire hotel but somehow I doubt it.

Everything was great apart from being unable to access the WiFi for some reason. I was able to connect to the network, the signal was 'excellent' but I didn't actually have any internet access as all of the web pages I tried to open failed to do so.

Situated on the A34 near Winchester, 15 mins away from City centre by car. Days Inn South, is a great place to stay, Its within a service station with a McDonald's & a Costa Coffee on the service site.The receptionist was very polite, kind and very welcoming.My room was on the ground floor, It was clean, comfortable and had tea/coffee facilities plus a lovely comfortable double bed plus a sofa bed. The en suite bath/shower was great with plenty of hot water. It was ever so quiet as well. Car park is free, and ask receptionist like I did If you come back to Days Inn from Winchester you will be on the North Side, She or He will explain how to get to the South side of Days Inn. A good cheaper alternative Hotel if you don't mind being away from the main centre of towns/cities.
My room was No6 Ground Floor
There's a Costa and McDonald's on site at the Service Station
