Comfortable and clean

This was a family trip to visit the old neighborhood. Although we were only there overnight and left the next morning, we found the hotel clean, well taken care of and quiet. Would stay again when we come back to the area. We were meeting friends for breakfast, so did not partake in the hotel breakfast, but the breakfast room and lobby looked spacious and accommodating.

Much cheaper and nicer than airport hotels.

Great hotel. Lovely pool. Good breakfast. Nice area. Circa 45 mins from Newark and 80 mins from JFK.

The staff at this place was rude, inconsiderate, unprofessional and ignorant of how to do their jobs. I was yelled at by their breakfast person, snapped at by others. They over-charged me on a pet fee and told me it was my fault for using expedia. I have never in all my years encpountered a staff more incompetent, and more diresepctful of a staying guest. I will never stay here again, nor at any Hamton Inn anywhere.

Didn’t get what I paid for.

Came for a little get away, weather was great, hotel is nice gym, pool, free breakfast all good. But what, upset me was I didn’t get the room I paid extra for. Make sure you get what you paid for. I paid for couch bed in the room, got a chair and was told all the rooms were sold out. So nothing nobody could do for me.

We had the Hospitality Suite so the room was large. The hotel did not have enough extra sheets or blankets for the pull out couch and for my blow up mattress. The AC system did not work. It was set for 74. I lowered it to 64. It never moved in 30 hours. I had to move rooms for the second night and it was smaller, still paid the same price and the room was also set for 74. It took 8 hours to get down to 69. There were also never enough towels for the pool. I was also charged an additional $281 that was an error and it was finally returned to my bank account 5 days later.

Good and Bad

Check in was easy and clerk was pleasant. Room was clean. It’s a smoke free facility, but several people were smoking (not just cigarettes) outside and the smell was brought inside. Our room was fine though. Breakfast was terrible. Serving starts at 6:00 and we went down at 7:00 and only bacon and a few bagels, and old fruit were left. We waited a while thinking servings would be refilled, but finally left and went to the Cracker Barrel next door.

The front desk was rude, didn’t greet us correctly. The shower had no shower gel, we went to the front desk to ask for it but they didn’t give us a solution until the last day where other girl in the front desk gave us some soap.

We personally would not stay here again. With dealing with a clogged toilet, a shower that leaked into the closet and really poor breakfast we will search for different accommodations next time we are in the area! The room was really clean and so was the rest of the hotel including the pool area which was super nice to see! We also really loved the location because it was a little off the main routes so it was very accessible but nice and quiet.

Great pool! Nice comp breakfast with indoor and outdoor patio seating. Easy to get to and you can walk next door to Cracker barrel. Walmart and many stores nearby. Comfortable and clean room. Will definitely stay here again!

This hotel is in desperate need of a facelift. Paint is peeling, rugs are threadbare & stained, and there was a random French fry under the table in our room that I noticed on the 3rd day! (No we did not eat fries at all during our stay). The worst part was the smell on the “smoking optional” floor where we were assigned. We asked for a non-smoking room but that didn’t prevent anyone else from smoking (all sorts of things) in the rooms near ours. Yuck no not recommend.

Overall property and team were quite good. My concern was unique to our room. Came in 1 am from an event only for us to be awoken at 3 am by the distinct smell and smoke of electrical brining. Stayed awake until sunrise, ate, showered and departed. Advised staff upon check out to make note of room. Not a pleasant experience

After a long drive, we arrived to a very unfriendly front desk person. We rented a king suite with a pullout couch, but got home very late and hadn’t realized there was no bedding for the pullout. I went to the front desk to ask for help and was met by another extremely unfriendly desk person Who was seemingly angry at me because they don’t keep betting down at the front desk and she couldn’t get me any I had no choice, but to sleep on a pullout with one flat sheet and one blanket folded to make a sleeping bag. Completely unacceptable. On the other hand, the breakfast staff was absolutely lovely and accommodating; kind and friendly. The maintenance staff was wonderful as well.
