Read if traveling WITH KIDS

Information that might be helpful to other travelers, especially those staying with children. The bed height is very tall. My 9 year old had trouble getting up on the bed. My 7 year old made a running leap. Since the floors are not carpeted, I would be cautious with anyone who is a fall risk sleeping without bedrails. There are only 3 available outlets in the whole room: one on the nightstand, one behind the nightstand, and one by the bathroom sink (which is outside of the toilet and shower area). We always travel with a nightlight for the bathroom so the kids aren't spooked and a white noise machine. That left only one plug to charge two adult phones and no extra outlet for computers or tablets. Just be aware. The towel rack over the toilet fell off the wall in the middle of the night with a great crash. I'm thankful no one was using the toilet at the time. That could have really hurt. You'll want to bring your own toiletries for sure if you plan to shower. All the supplied ones were the tiniest size possible. The staff were very friendly so it is possible that they would give as many as needed if asked, but we had our own. The noise level was high because of a closely railway line and little insulation. This made me really want our white noise machine which made the outlet issue more prevalent. The breakfast bar was typical and my kids found plenty that they liked. Every store or need you could want is just 5 miles up the freeway in Dry Ridge.

Super good place to stay

Excellent basic hotel. Very clean. Front desk very friendly and helpful. Be happy to stay here anytime. Close to the Ark Experience. In fact, it's only .5 miles from it and I was able to leave car at hotel and walk over - saving $15 parking fee.

Fantastic Location for The Ark

Check in was quick and easy. Communication was fantastic. Got to check in early. Room was clean, breakfast was good. Cannot beat the location if visiting The Ark Encounter.

“The hotel was clean, and the staff were very friendly and attentive , I even enjoyed a simple but satisfying breakfast with waffles, fruit, toast, and coffee.
