DETAILS: Embark on a memorable alpine retreat at Powder and Pines Chalet, where prime mountain access meets year-round adventure! This beautiful 4-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom chalet sleeps 13 in the heart of Big Mountain’s ski-in/ski-out community. Spread across 3,000 square feet, guests can retreat to the warmth of 2 cozy fireplaces, indulge in après-ski drinks in the private hot tub, or simply delight in majestic Big Mountain views from the 3 expansive decks, complete with the peaceful sounds of a babbling brook. Winter sports enthusiasts will love direct ski access behind the chalet, providing a quick connection to Chairs 6 and 4. Swap ski boots for hiking boots in Summer and enjoy nearby trails, take a zip-line tour, go mountain biking, or even rock climbing!

Experience the beauty of this stunning 3-story home, with cathedral ceilings and large windows boasting breathtaking views. Step into the inviting great room with a mountain lodge aesthetic. The living area showcases a stone-encased gas fireplace, Smart TV, and high-end furnishings, perfect for gatherings! The gourmet kitchen with granite countertops features commercial-grade appliances, including a double oven and gas range stove. A spacious dining table seats 8 people, while the breakfast bar seats 6 more. Step onto the expansive deck through 2 French doors to cook out on the BBQ grill.

Luxury and comfort await in the 2 primary bedrooms upstairs—each with king beds and private bathrooms with soaking tubs. One bedroom even enjoys access to a private deck with incredible alpine views. Between the 2 bedrooms is an open loft area with a queen sleeper sofa and smart TV plus Xbox game system.
The ground level boasts 2 guest bedrooms with queen beds and deck access. There's also a bunk room with 1 twin-over-twin bunk and trundle bed. Enjoy the 2 extra living spaces, one with a Smart TV, Xbox, and electric fireplace, alongside built-in nooks perfect for hanging out, reading, or playing games. Step outside the back door onto the lower deck and enjoy a nice soak in the private hot tub. A nearby mudroom provides space for all boots and ski gear.

There’s on-site parking for 3 vehicles, with 1 in the heated garage. For ski access, take the trail behind the property to the Base Lodge and lower lift terminal, then return via Home Again Trail or Chipmunk Trail. There's also a free S.N.O.W. Bus stop nearby. Book now!

Great location right on the mountain!

We had the best time in Whitefish at this chalet. Beautiful view. Very nice, clean property. We had everything we needed to cook meals at the home. We did not rent a car. We bought groceries on the in from the airport, and door dashed the rest. Base lodge and multiple chair lifts were a very short ski ride down a small hill. We utilized the snow bus to go into town, and Ubers were also easy to get. Two families of five (6 children total) had a very comfortable, fun stay. And there was still room for more! We plan to book here again. We absolutely loved it.

This VRBO was actually cheaper than a smaller unit under WF Reservation.Unit was beautiful, clean, roomy, and a true ski in and out.The property managers were responsive and answered all our questions.A must rent unit for sure.

This property was as described & portrayed on-line. Excellent ski location & access. Split levels allow privacy & separating from the group. Heated garage is a plus as was the hot tub. Provided a pleasant experience.

Boys Trip ‘24

This is a beautiful house literally at the base of a ski resort. We had 6 of us, and this house easily accommodated all of us. During our stay we had weather in the mid 80’s to low 90’s, and this presented a slight problem. I say that because the vast majority of this house does NOT have AC. The 2 master suites however DO have AC units. The only other bummer was the 10am checkout time.

Property is perfectly situated, clean and has all advertised amenities. Check in process was a bit rough…..had to call management company after 4p after not having been texted codes. Upon arrival to property in -14deg temps, found that the provided entry codes were incorrect. Property was extremely cold upon entry (50deg) and, given that it has radiant heat, took almost a whole day to heat up. Perhaps the departure settings shouldn’t be so low….or it could be prepped prior to next arrivals. Overall was a great place to stay and we would book it again. Thx!

1st time to Montana

Went to Montana for my daughters wedding. Decided to rent a property were the family could all stay. The property was awesome. Our flights got changed with the airlines, so I reached out to property manager upon landing to see if we could check in a little early. Response was almost instant. 1st impression was how clean and nice the property was upon arrival. Loved the layout and the fact that the bedrooms each basically had their own floor. 2nd fridge in the garage was useful. Information about the unit and local area to dine and visit were all organized in a binder. No issues with the unit and cannot wait to come back.

We absolutely love this location and the layout of the house. Beautiful home, great amenities, perfect pampered vacation. My only complaint is that I wish the comforters and blankets were cleaned between renters. The house was clean, just lots of stains on bedding and blankets!

Ski trip

Could not have been more pleased with the house. Lived up to everything the listing states. Hot tub and ski in/out cannot be beat as top amenities. In addition after something was left after checkout and we had already departed the area, managers of the house were easily contacted and were prompt to ship the item to where it needed to be. You can’t go wrong with the house.

Great weekend!

The property was great and was very clean. The communication with the property management group was excellent and in fact, they were very helpful in providing us recommendations for dining out, etc. which was a nice touch. If I were planning on a trip to Whitefish Mountain, I would have no hesitancy to book this property!

Excellent house and location for 2 families!

This property was a fantastic house for our two families - everyone had plenty of space and the ski in ski out was as advertised and minutes from the base village. Our only complaints were a lack of kitchen utensils/gadgets, and a shortage of towels. There were only 8 towels, and with the hot tub, we were washing towels every day. Other than that, it was perfect! Easy to get to, clean, just the right amount of luxury, and plenty of comfortable beds/bathrooms! If you’re looking for a ski in/ski out at Whitefish for all ski abilities, this is it!

Nice place.

This property worked very well for our group. Kitchen/dinning area was large enough to accommodate our larger group. The main level was a little warm for my liking in the afternoons with no A/C however this was in the property description so it wasn't a surprise. Great location with easy access to the main attractions of the area. Check in/out was a breeze with great communication from the owner.

Perfect family home away from home!

Our stay was better than we could have imagined. The ski in ski out location is exactly that, we literally skied out the back door and skied right up to the back at the end of the day! Just a short walk to the base lodge where you can pick up passes and catch the free shuttle to town. The house itself was clean and spacious! We had 13 people ranging in age from 5-75 and it was just right for all of us. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you could possibly need. It was also a nice touch that they had basic amenities when you checked in so if you couldn’t get to the store right away there was tp, soap, and trash bags. There were a few minor issues that were addressed right away by the property managers. They were quick to respond and offered to come check it out right away. We can’t wait to come back for another visit, this was the perfect home away from home for our family trip!
