Located just over the road from Whitby’s West Cliff beach, this aptly named apartment is perfect for those looking for a retreat by the beach. Sleeping four guests, the apartment is perfect for couples and small families, you’ll be ideally placed to enjoy the many attractions and eateries throughout Whitby.
The Space:
Sandcastles Apartment is a well designed, second floor apartment with everything you could need for a self-catering staycation in Whitby.
Ultra stylish and modern, it features an open plan kitchen, living and dining area where you can relax and get lost in the peaceful surroundings. In the living room is a sofa bed which is deemed suitable for one adult or two children.
The bright and spacious bedroom features a double bed with feature wicker headboard. Dressed with premium linen you are guaranteed a restful nights' sleep. A sofa bed is available in the living room for added comfort.
Featuring a walk in shower, the bathroom at Sandcastles Apartment is modern and stylish. A WC and basin complete the space.

The keys to the apartment are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.
There are a number of pay and display car parks throughout Whitby and full details will be sent to you prior to your arrival.

The Neighborhood:
Sandcastles Apartment is located on the West Cliff on Royal Crescent so you’ll be right on the doorstep of the Blue Flag West Cliff beach and promenade which is just a short stroll from the apartment. On Pier Road, you’ll find fun arcades and plenty of fish restaurants where you can sample the catch of the day.
The other side of Whitby is full of narrow, mediaeval streets dotted with boutiques and pubs. Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary. You can also discover the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’.
Step outside of Whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. Whitby forms part of the North York Moors National Park so it’s the perfect place for long walks.
Getting Around:
Sandcastles Apartment is located in a prime location and the centre of Whitby so the town can easily be explored on foot.
Whitby train station is just a short 15-minute walk away so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station.
There are plenty of bus routes throughout Whitby. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The X93 travels along the coast to Scarborough. The 95 route features plenty of quaint villages, such as Grosmont and Lealholm.
