I stayed here with my family and my sister's family. Not cheap, and if you stay here get ready to work for it. The house has 3 "heat pumps" that provide the main heat. Additionally there are many electric heaters available in the rooms. There's a wood stove and LOTS of wood, but if you use any of it the owner will be sure to charge you.The house took a good day to warm up, and my kids were cold at night. No biggie, they piled on the blankets. There were clearly used towels and one used face cloth hanging on hooks in bathrooms/bedrooms. Only a couple clean and folded. I had to do laundry. There was a load already in the washer. We got lots of snow. No surprise, it's VT. Owner told me the afternoon we arrived that his "plow guy" would be there that day or the next. He never showed. My husband had to shovel the driveway twice. Owner left us a broken shovel held together by tape. My son has front wheel drive and got stuck on the hilly driveway when leaving. We had to tow him out - good thing we had the right vehicle. We had to check out a day early because of the Blizzard of '26. I made sure to tell the owner, of course. The icing on the cake -the owner has now cashed my check for the "security deposit" which I found out he requires after booking. The reason? I didn't follow his check out instructions to the T. One of the "heat pumps" and a light were left on, according to him. So he charged me for it. Says he'll reimburse a portion - do I believe him??
