Disliked: Cleanliness
Overall rating: Communication: We experienced significant communication issues. We attempted to call multiple numbers provided (including the number on the VRBO listing and in the security deposit email), left several urgent voicemails, and even contacted VRBO support for assistance, but we did not receive any response. Because of this, we had to make a last-minute booking elsewhere and incurred additional costs.Cleanliness: Although we did not stay overnight, we entered the apartment briefly to document its condition. During our walkthrough, we noticed cleanliness concerns such as a dirty refrigerator, a damaged microwave door, and personal items left behind in the bathroom from a previous guest. Some areas did not appear to have been cleaned thoroughly.Accuracy / Responsiveness: Our original request changed due to an emergency, and we tried to reach the owner to verify pet options and inquire about larger units for a two-week stay. Unfortunately, we received no reply despite repeated attempts and communication through VRBO.Comments:We appreciate the explanation regarding the host relocating from Europe, but a simple timely response would have prevented the confusion, multiple outreach attempts, and the need to book elsewhere. While we cannot review the stay experience itself (we did not end up using the apartment), we want future guests to be aware that communication delays may occur.
