Great Views, Great Place, Close to Town

Exactly as promoted and exactly as we remembered having stayed here a few years ago. Well appointed house, wonderful view from the deck and less than 5 minutes drive into downtown. Would actually be walkable to town except for the steep climbs. Had a great time and will be back for sure.

Beautiful house

This house was wonderful. It is very convenient to the downtown stores but located on a hilltop overlooking mountains. The house is beautifully and tastefully furnished. The front of the house has an open floor plan with a huge great room, kitchen, and dining area. There is a laundry off of the great room which was very convenient The kitchen was well stocked. And there are plenty of bath towels. The house was spotless. We loved the deck and its view of the mountains and the 2 patios in the back, which allowed plenty of quiet areas and privacy. It would have been nice to have an extra a 1/2 bath, but I knew this in advance. All in all, this house is a gem!!

Sweet Home Carolina is a comfortable and beautiful home. The view is spectacular, and the deck provides the perfect spot to view it. One could cook simple or complex meals with all the pots, pans and utensils provided. Very calm and peaceful, highly recommended.

This property was beautiful inside and out! Wonderful views; close to downtown shopping district; beautiful decor and kitchen was well stocked. Comfortable beds. Will definitely return again! Doug was easy to work with - and even allowed us to check in a little early so my 90 year old mother could rest following a long drive to the mountains.

Fall Girls Trip

I can not say enough about how much we enjoyed this property. Very relaxing and comfortable interior and exterior. Landscaping is beautiful. Pictures do not do it justice. Awesome location. Secluded feel but you can be in downtown Waynesville in less than 2 minutes. Would stay again and again.

Stunning Waynesville retreat

We stayed there with family while visiting our son and his family, who live in nearby Clyde. The home is beautifully and tastefully appointed with everything you need to feel at home. The beds are so comfortable and the linens high quality (which is a rare find in a rental property). And the owners thought of everything you will need to get your stay started (coffee, laundry detergent, etc). The views from the front deck are stunning - you can’t stop staring at the beautiful scenery. This is a perfect vacation home and we can’t wait to return!

Great location with a view!

The home was wonderful! Well stocked with the items we needed to cook and grill with. Very clean and the keyless entry made coming and going very easy. Good water pressure in the showers. Internet was also very responsive and had no cell phone issues. We very much enjoyed the view from the deck especially the one evening when there was a heat lightning show over the mountains. Would definitely stay at again.

Heaven on earth

This property is a 5 min. drive from downtown Waynesville. The view is amazing and quiet. The home is beautiful with 3 different outdoor sitting areas. We ate out a couple times and ended up cooking in alot to enjoy the view and peacefulness. Buttered Biscuit for breakfast, Frog Level Brewing for lunch and Sweet Onion for dinner. Thank you to The Gosnell's for sharing their retreat with us. If you are in the area and do not stay here, you will miss out on one of the best VRBO's we have stayed at.

Family Time

Beautiful place with nice high ends. Great location to Waynesville downtown but still very secluded for privacy. Steep drive to home but that is very normal for the area. The deck views are amazing, so peaceful. Beds very comfortable. Loved the extra touches with keurig and great selection of tea. Smart TV and loved having Alexa for music. Plan on using next time when in town.

A Wonderful Stay/A Wonderful Property

This was my wife's and my second stay at this property this year. The house is conveniently located to everything in Western North Carolina. It is beautifully furnished and has everything that a guest could possibly need. There are beautiful long range mountain views from the deck. My wife loves the layout of this house with its great room open to the kitchen. We have stayed at numerous properties throughout the area over the past ten to fifteen years and this is our favorite.
