What an experience. When we arrived at 5pm, the person at the front desk was asleep. The entire hotel had a terrible smell and was clearly not clean, but we decided to overlook it, thinking the rooms might be better.
To reach the outside rooms, we had to walk through the pub, only to get a shock once inside — we literally had to fight our way past spiders to get into the room. The room seemed decent at first, until we pulled back the bedding and found long black hairs all over the sheets, clearly from previous guests.
The in-room coffee machine had no coffee, mugs, or cups. When I confronted the owner, he handed me two paper cups and said I could get coffee at the front desk. I also asked about the spiders, and he first claimed there was no one to clean, then backtracked saying “the other woman” had cleaned the room.
That was the last straw — we immediately packed our bags, as there was no way we could sleep in a dirty bed surrounded by spiders. The owner refused to refund us, but thankfully Hotels.com stepped in and issued a refund.
The photos will speak for themselves. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
