Everything was perfect, except the placement of the room. I was near the outdoor pipes and didn’t get much of an outdoor view. But overall 4.5/5. This is my holiday weekend hotel,’so I am very thankful!

The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of DC and perfectly situated for walking to monuments, holiday markets, and seasonal attractions. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, blending historic charm with a modern, upscale feel that instantly puts you in the holiday spirit. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed, making it the perfect place to unwind after long days of exploring the city. The staff was consistently warm, welcoming, and attentive, offering great recommendations and making us feel genuinely taken care of throughout our stay. A special highlight was taking in the festive atmosphere around the hotel—it felt like the ideal home base for a Christmas weekend in Washington, DC. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Hotel Washington to anyone visiting DC, especially during the holiday season.

Staff was great. Rooms were meh. Stayed overnight for a Christmas party- girls night out. First room had no doors to the bath. Second room had a view of a wall (dark) and the furniture was odd. Coffee maker was broken and only one pod. The rooftop is still one of the best in the city. Lobby bar was nice, but I miss the old one in the front which was classic and cozy. It’s a historic building and too bad it got “over modernized). Still it’s nice for DC.

-valet was not only rude but impatient. Rushing me to get my things out of the car. -I needed the front desk several times during the stay but was not able to reach anyone at the hotel.
