Mothers Day Visit

The hotel is perfectly located and walking is very accessible. There’s a Metro stop an block away. The check-in process was a breeze. Everyone has a smile on their face and very accommodating and helpful. The room was spacious and bright.

Modern hotel in walking distance of local eateries

It was a great hotel. I love the night lights in the room and the bed was very comfy. Staff was attentive and friendly. Great area. Lots of alternative food choices. Im definitely returning there some day soon.

Perfect stay - comfy and easy

Very nice room; everything seemed new; large TV and a great expresso maker. I would definitely stay here again when I go to DC. Area around the hotel is very walkable and close enough to tourist sites.

Great stay, one or two caveats

We loved this hotel. Comfy beds, clean room, lovely staff. If you are a railfan into transit or Amtrak, this is the place for you. Get a room with two queens on floors 3-6 and you will get great shots. Then, head to the roof deck for a view of the yard at Union Station. So great, and yet it’s also possible to sleep! The only thing I would advise this hotel about are these: soundproof the bathroom. If you are sharing a room, from the room you will hear everything and I mean everything that happens in the bathroom. Hotels really have to get over the sliding barn door thing. Secondly, the drain in the shower, which is about 2 inches by 15 inches wide, is quite dangerous. I didn’t realize that it was set about an inch lower than the shower floor, and fell in the shower when I stepped back into it halfway. My heel slipped into the depression and I fell when I lost my balance as a result. I hate to mention it here because we otherwise loved this place, but it really should be changed. Also, hotels need to get over the rain shower head thing as well. They truly are awful for anyone short or with thick hair. It’s too diffuse by the time it gets to our head!

Great hotel if you are hard of hearing

It’s a very nicely designed hotel, but it was about the loudest night. I’ve spent in the hotel for a long time. First of all, there was a great deal of talking and tv noise from the adjoining room, walls seemed paper thin, especially where there is one of those bolted doors in between rooms. Also, they built this hotel next to the train track. The trains will start with bells and engines and horns at 5 AM and not soundproofing the windows, that’s borderline criminal in my view. They should disclose that and give you ear plugs.
