This is a classic DC rowhome, and while the basement unit is fully private with its own separate entrances, it is part of a multi-level house. Noise can travel between floors, especially footsteps and voices from the upstairs unit. Loved this space and the dedicated parking made it very convenient since we needed a vehicle while we were in town. It was a short walk to the metro and many restaurants were within walking distance as well.
