Little gem in the heart of the Old Town.

Brilliant apartment right on the square in the Old Town. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable, would definitely stay again. Only slight issue was the toilet didn’t flush too well on our first night. We called the office who couldn’t help and said someone would call in the morning. Needless to say no call was received however the issue self resolved so was probably a partial blockage within the block. Overall 8.5 out of 10, with the toilet issue stopping it being a 10 out of 10.

Based on reviews, I’m sure there are varying levels of quality, but I got a really nice apartment, right in the old town. Check in is a bit of a pain ... the office isn’t in old town, but about a 20 minute walk away. They did let me store my luggage in the office until my apartment was ready. I went back later to check in and they sent me to the property in a prepaid taxi. I was pleased with the apartment itself. The listing says they have a 24-hour front desk ... this isn’t exactly true. Their standard office hours are 9-8 on weekdays and 9-5 on weekends. They do have a 24 mobile number (problematic if you’re a foreigner arriving without roaming cell service) and they do charge a late-check in fee after 10 pm. They do message you with this info after you make a reservation, so I knew what to expect. Overall I had a great experience.

Charming location

The location of the apartment was absolutely perfect. The access and amenities were fabulous. I found the response times to emails not good enough. The hotel trf didn’t seem familiar with where the checkin offices were and not that bothered that he couldn’t help, however when I mentioned it at the check in that person was also less than interested. I was a single woman traveling on my own paying a premium for the trf so that there would be no problems like this and I did not get the service I was hoping for. The mattress on the bed in the apartment was completely worn and the hairdryer was dreadful. I mailed the Old Town apartments immediately and till now have not had the courtesy of a response. It was a pity these few service related issues took some of the charm of the apartment away.

Dirty!

The apartment I stayed in was horrendous. There was an infestation of a bug of some sort that would swarm the walls at night and they would be dead all over the counters the next day. My feet were black from walking on the floor in the apartment. They gave me one very flat pillow to sleep on, and all the extras in the closet and the duvet on the bed had yellow stains all over them. There should really be a phone of some sort you can use to call the hotel considering most people who stay here are tourists and dont want to use their phones and collect international fees.

It was in the Old Town but also not noisy. It could have been cleaner and it would have been nice to have an iron with ironing board so we could iron a shirt!

Horrible Experience

We had to get the keys on one location to then go to another location. Both locations were really hard to find. Once we finally reached our location, we realized that cars were not allowed and had to walk to get to the apartment. Since I was traveling with 2 kids, and had a 6am flight, walking at 3 am with suitcases was not an option. Ended up not staying there.

We had a great stay. Loved the apartment and the location! We were happy we picked it. Only thing is, we would recommend to have a garbage can in the bathroom as it didn't have one. We used the one in the kitchen during our stay.

Inaccurate location, needed a good clean

The description of this apartment was inaccurate. The posting has a point in a location that's in Old Town, but this is not the apartment location. You actually have to go to a different part of town to check in, and then the apartment was in a third location. It was a few blocks from Old Town, but the original ad (which describes itself as 'literally in Old Town') was false. Upon arriving at the apartment, it was surprisingly dirty. I like to walk barefoot, and had to keep my shoes on because of the dust and dirt everywhere. There was an empty bottle rolled under the bed. They clearly hadn't swept. I requested a broom the first day and it didn't arrive until three days later, the evening before I checked out. Generally the apartment is not well kept. The shower needs a good scrub, there's soap scum everywhere. The walls have random stains on them. The curtain rod fell down while I tried to pull the curtain back. It's cheap and felt safe, but I hadn't prepared myself for the level of quality, and don't feel like they did their best to manage expectations.

Nice mixture Old Town, young people, beers

the walk from Culture Centre first built for Stalin, is short, once one knows the way. Admin centre put us in free taxi to our location. Walk on granite cobbles to square as night fell. Smaller restaurants gave large meals at good value. There is 24hr market when you know where to find it. Taxis are 1/3rd of cost in the UK and are very clean. Well worth a try. The Poles mostly English speaking and vert helpful

Fantastic

The apartments were in great location, really well presented with great facilities. Only downside was distance from check in (but the company provide a free taxi to commute), and lack of service during stay. We’d happily stay again.

Unfortunately Bellow our expectaces. Very noisy location. No tv programs at all, as apparently lack of signal from the cable. Apartment not renovated for ages with dirty walls. Welcome service excellent.

Good customer service

The check-in went well. The first apartment we were taken to was very run down and not clean enough for small children who touch everything, so we contacted Old Town Apartments and they immediately offered us a replacement which was great. For families with young children, there are only very basic amenities with no highchairs available and cots are EUR20 extra (for the whole stay). There are also only basic cooking and bowl utensils so it's quite hard to prepare cooked baby / toddler meals if you have a fussy toddler who doesn't appreciate the fabulous food at nearby restaurants!

Tough check-in process, but great location

Check in process is very poor. Office is hidden in back courtyard. Address given is a clothing store where no one speaks English. The office, if you can find it has a different name than the apartments. Climb three flights to check in then take a cabtwo kilometers to the unmarked apartments and try to find the apartments after following a walking map the last 200 yards. Place is smelly and bed very small and uncomfortable. Great location, but wouldn't do it again.

Good location, they do not provided what I paid

We arrived 21:30 hrs and nobody was there. We called the number we had and a very nice lady told us that we should inform in advance that we were going to arrive late night. She arrived to the offices 30 min later and charged me 30 euro more for late check in (in a hotel??)ld She also told my payment was not enough for the room reseved and she changed the room to another place cheaper (she said so), half block far away from the original pacted and payed in advance Then after, she told us that the room was not there. She only did the paper work and called a taxi for us. The taxi driver does not speak english and left us 4 block far away from the hotel almost at midnight. When we arrived to the place, it seems that they are stealing the electricity because in the stair way there were wires going from one box in the middle of the hall into the appt thrugh a hole on the wall Inside the appt, furniture very poor quality and old. Clean in general terms but the fridge and the cooler, they were dirty and with food remains The matress is old and in bad conditions. The security lock was good but the frame of the door is broken, so it is useless to have a good lock if you can not lock the room for our security. I paid in advance the room and I did not received for what I already paid. Bad business. Good location.

Great location

The apartment is in the centre of the old town. Great location. The reception is in another address. But you can arrange self-check-in to the apartment. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. The apartment is not very clean(acceptable if you are not too fussy). The wifi is not good. It only allows one person to log in. And it's not very fast.
