Welcome to The James McCool House (aka "JMC")! Experience the artful blend of historical elegance and modern convenience in the heart of Walla Walla.

This pet friendly home boasts approximately 3,000 square feet of living space with plenty of room to spread out and relax! The JMC offers 5 bedrooms (2 master ensuites) and 3.5 bathrooms and sleeps up to 12. A Queen size portable memory foam mattress is located in the upstairs ensuite bedroom.

Centrally located, The James McCool House is walking distance to Walla Walla's Main Street shopping and tasting rooms and restaurants, and just a short drive from Airport District, Southside, and The Rocks District wineries and tasting rooms. Visitors won't find a better value in Walla Walla's wine country!

To make your stay the most comfortable, we provide high-end bed linens, bath towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, makeup remover towels and wipes, and all bedrooms have white noise machines and earplugs for light sleepers!

Terrific location, walking distance to downtown. The home is a beautiful, extremely well-maintained historic home. Everything we needed was there we spent an evening enjoying the backyard. Great home base for our group of girlfriends to enjoy a long weekend in Walla Walla!

We rented this home for a weekend wine trip with four other couples. From the minute we walked in the door, all the ladies were commenting on the tasteful decorations and the absolutely beautiful home! There were bedrooms to accommodate all of us and every one of them was super comfortable. The formal dining room was perfect for having dinner together and hanging out, playing games in the evening. The kitchen had everything we needed for when we decided to BBQ. There was not one thing missing from this amazing house. Communication with Tracy was outstanding. Every time I messaged her, she had an answer right away. Everything about the stay was fantastic and we will return in the future. Highly recommend!!!

The McCool House exceeded our expectations in every category. Vast attention was paid to the details of making our group of seven friends feel at home. The kitchen is superbly stocked for the cooks in the crowd. Dining and bedroom areas were generously sized yet intimate. The decor blends a vintage historical vibe with modern, unstuffy functionality. Communicating with host Tracy was a breeze and largely unnecessary once we moved in. Many thanks to the hosts who care and put the cool in the McCool!

We loved staying in this house. It was spotless and comfortable. Four couples stayed two nights and everyone had a great time. It is on a busy corner with a stoplight which was the only disappointment - I was expecting a quiet downtown street, but regardless the house itself was very cool and well maintained. We had a great time.

Wonderful historic home!

This was a clean, well maintained historic home that had plenty of space for our family, friends and our dog. The home is on an intersection but the owners have taken care to address any noise issues with white noise machines and a lovely enclosed back yard. The home has gorgeous tile and details that evoke its unique historic character. It was a fun and easy walk to town.

Visiting our daughter while she was playing at Whitman for a volleyball tournament. Coincidence that my siblings from across country were here. Impeccable Character & Charm

This house oozed old world charm, character and authenticity down to every architectural accent and piece of art on the wall. The home was impeccably spotless, well stocked. There was more than enough room for our party of 4, which allowed us to spread out in our own rooms, though the house could easily accommodate more guests. We loved watching a movie in the comfy living room and having coffee on the porch, enjoying the mature maples and passersby. The location was perfect for walking to restaurants and shops, or a short car ride to the wineries. We would definitely recommend staying here!

Wonderful Walla Walla vacation home

This was a special birthday celebration for my whole family (10 of us) at this charming house in Walla Walla , walking distance from the downtown area. This home is spacious, well kept and the rooms were all wonderful with comfortable beds and very nice amenities. There is a nice large couch as well where we relaxed and enjoyed a movie together. The kitchen had everything you needed to cook your meals and the dining room table was big enough for all of us to enjoy our meals together. I’ve already had a friend reach out to me asking about renting this property and I gave her an enthusiastic thumbs up. The backyard also has a large table to enjoy a meal outside and we enjoyed sitting on the porch with the comfortable chairs and watching the resident squirrels in the trees in the side yard. It was a wonderful place to stay and if my whole family ventures back to Walla Walla, we would love to stay here again. Thanks so much - 5 stars all the way!

Amazing restored historic home

This property was awesome, room for all of us and restored beautifully. Bike or walk downtown to fun restaurants or wine tasting. Would definitely book again as there was a room for all 11 of us and the kids had a blast.

McCool House - Luxury and Old World Charm

We had a family gathering from across the states and this house was amazing. I have stayed at many well furnished properties but this one is the first in awhile that every thing I wanted to use was there and was clean. It was a luxurious experience with old world charm and did I mention clean. The backyard was dreamlike with the lighting. The front porch was relaxing and the best place for morning coffee. Walla Walla downtown shops and tasting rooms made for such a great day. Our family gathered around the large table in the dining room telling stories and eating and drinking wine is something our parents would have enjoyed seeing. It was the house that brought us back together and we are most grateful for our time there. Tracy, the property manager was excellent to work with and the hospitality team top notch! Thank you so much!

Great house and location

Tracy was great to work with! I really appreciated the proactive communication. The house is is great shape, with the old house feeling but well appointed bathrooms and kitchen. It is on a fairly busy corner, but as city dwellers, it didn’t bother us. Tracy keeps white noise machines and earplugs in each room just in case. The house was exactly what we were hoping for. We would stay there again for sure. I definitely recommend this house for larger groups going to Walla Walla.
