With plenty of seating, including comfy bean bags and an alfresco dining setting, this outdoor space will be where you spend much of your summer holiday time. Spark up the BBQ and grill your fresh catch of the day, paired with a salad you’ve whipped up in the fully equipped kitchen.

Make sure you take time to enjoy the view and catch a few rays on the elevated sun-deck. Look out over the greenery and get lost in the sea views out to Kapiti Island.

Later, light the outdoor fireplace and chat long into the evening before laying your head down to rest for tomorrow’s adventures. A queen bed and bunks in the house offer the ideal configuration for a small family, and the additional sleepout is a perfect haven for the teenagers to call their own.

A bathroom in the house provides the conveniences for your stay and even has a spa bath to soak in with a cheeky glass of bubbles in hand.

Down at the beach, stroll past the Waimanu Lagoon and along to the Waikanae Estuary, or simply set the towels down for a day of sun, sand, and saltwater. You’ll find other picturesque and peaceful spots on a road trip up and down the Kapiti Coast. Why not stop at Queen Elizabeth Park or Te Horo Beach, both only a 15-minute drive away.

When you need supplies or your morning Flat White, walk to Long Beach Cafe, Beach Bakery, or the local Four Square. Or, you could travel 10 minutes into Waikanae town where there are a larger supermarket and other shops and eateries.
