There are lots of good things about this hotel. The location is lovely - off the boardwalk but still convenient to everything. Parking was easy and also convenient. The ocean view was phenomenal. We had a little issue with our ac and maintenance came immediately up to fix it and were so nice and professional, quick and thorough. They went above and beyond! But the cleanliness and general condition of the hotel was pretty dismal. Overflowing trash in the halls, wet towels and wet sandy floors in the halls and elevators. No clean sheets even though we requested it and it was supposed to happen every 3 days. The carpet had fingernail clippings on it when we checked in and the beds in our room were clearly worn out and had caved in the center. There was only one very old slow elevator in our building and housekeeping actually got on and made us wait for the next one. We even had to ask for a trashcan for our bathroom. It seems like this place is worn out and no one cares. The outside of the property looks highly decent but there was overpowering smell of weed in most of the common areas even though I thought it was a non smoking property.

The biggest problem with this hotel is the number of dogs. They are everywhere and the area for them to "do their business" is directly in front of the beach. The entire place needs a good cleaning. Also there is no privacy between balconies in the older section of the hotel. The view was great as was the bed, However, I would not stay here again.

Beautiful view of the ocean

The bed was very lumpy and sunk in the middle. The pillowcases had mildew on them from the condensation of the air conditioner. The bedspread had a stain on it. The chair in the room was old and ripped that I had to put a towel on it to sit, I rented a room that was Strictly no pets allowed, but I could still smell pet hair in the room the bathroom. Was nice and clean. The restaurant staff did not seem very attentive to guest as much as locals who visited the establishment. The food was just OK. I had the wings and they were huge almost like eating chicken legs not my favorite. There was a wire from the air conditioning unit that did not have a plug on the end of it and had wires exposed. I needed to notify the front desk of this so maintenance could come up and cap the electric off. No table or luggage stand to put your suitcase on in the room.

My husband and I drove to the VA beach area , for a short 2-night stay. This property is located in the Northern section of the beach. The staff members are very friendly , they even bought us clean towels/wash cloths to our room. The rooms are a bit outdated, the carpeting needs to be replaced, when the A/C runs it might possibly leak which causes the carpet to smell like mold. Perfect location, to walk on the beach. Another great thing is theyre pet friendly. We would stay again.

The toilet was wobbly so everyone you sat on it it was moving. The air conditioning was dripping into the rooms carpet which made it wet the entire day. Someone threw up in the outdoor pool and I informed the staff and no one came out to clean it.

We stayed in the tower section that was pet friendly. We felt very secluded and unbothered as we definitely were a rowdier group. The hotel staff is nice and accommodating. Even though the room was not “ocean front” we could still see the beach and ocean from our side balcony. Great experience and affordable. We will be back!
