1) Fix the windows so guests can see out of them. My room had 2 broken seals so as to make the windows foggy. 2) Put screen doors on the balcony so the door can stay open to hear the ocean (after turning off the ac). 3) Have a night light in the bathroom so as not to wake your partner during the night or pre-dawn. 4) NOTIFY YOUR GUESTS: either leave a note on the doors or a sandwich board near the elevators when there is "an unforeseen event" like having NO WATER for 4 hours - and charge a REDUCED RATE when that kind of major event happens! 5) Do Not place guests near construction without telling them first. 6) Be sure the furniture is in proper working order. My refrigerator cabinet door had a hinge in disrepair and made a loud noise every time I opened it. I could not get a drink during the night without disturbing my partner. 6) Get better coffee. Even your "mild" was too strong and no amount of sweetener or creamer helped it, and you don't provide enough.

They are planning on renovation this year. Which I believe will make the outdated hallways, elevators (only had two, but in different areas) sliding glass doors in room, and the temperature throughout the hotel a lot better. The indoor pool is actually a lazy river, which my daughter loved. They need to update their internet. My daughter had an online class and the internet wouldn't work, so I had to use my cellphone hotspot for her to complete class.

Absolutely LOVED staying here. 5 ⭐️ everything! It’s very kid friendly and we will definitely be back! Can’t wait to book our next stay! Ocean front, 4 pools total!! Indoor “lazy river” with little water falls & hottub, outdoor lazy river as well and 2 big swimming pools! One of the outdoor pools even has 2 water slides! Out door pool on each side! Beautiful hotel! Book your stay- I promise you will love it!

IHG North Beach

The lights and AC in my first assigned room did not work. The door to the second room I was assigned did not work. The sink was broken as was the phone in the room. The fire alarm malfunctioned on Saturday morning and went off for two hours straight. Staff was amazing and very helpful in trying to resolve all issues with my rooms. Location is great. Very quiet. Hotel needs updating.

We stay here often, and love the pools. Unfortunately this time we paid $200 for a room. The sink would not drain at all so we had to drink and brush teeth in the shower.plug was stuck down but I managed to fix that. Phone did not work to call reception at night. When I told them first thing they did not care, said they would make a note. Sad for $200 a night that there was an issue they would not fix. We like the pools and location but I would say off season it has 1 star service.

Not worth it

I splurged for an ocean view suite. The glass door was 80% covered by an unsightly and permanent stain. We couldn't see out of it (photo attached). When we stepped to the balcony for a view, there was peeling paint and rusty on the "floor". The pool was nice but due to cold weather everyone was inside and hygiene was poor. Wet towels were lying everywhere and the place looked filthy. Someone should be assigned to periodically clean and pick up the indoor pool area. I usually find Holiday Inn to be of good quality. Not this time.

We always stay at this hotel because of the pool. They just need to have a smart TV. But overall, it was a good experience!
