Provided a simple and clean room with very comfy bed! Really friendly staff and a delicious breakfast. The view from the hotel is beautiful - be sure to take a photo when it is clear!

The breakfast was great- so many options. The room was spacious and comfortable. The electronic adapter provided by the hotel didn't work and we were unable to use the TV due to scrambled channels?

Nice little stay atop a hill with sweeping views.

We traveled as a family of 5. We got two rooms and they had one of the couches made us as a bed for us, which was nice. One of the showers was clogged and I was told it was like standing in your own bath water. But my shower, in the other room, was fine. It was clean. The rooms were so hot. Sleeping was tough because of that. Breakfast was nice. The location, atop a hill, is nice for beautiful views. Staff was polite, but not “friendly”. Possibly just a cultural difference - like when visiting Norway. Would stay again. It was a nice stop for the night and very close to Black Sand Beach.

Basic rooms but clean, very quiet and comfortable. Check in was swift, we had packed lunches to go the next morning as we had an early start for a tour so missed breakfast. Great views out to the beach on a clear day. They offer a wake up call for northern lights for those interested.

Very good, very welcoming staff. The breakfast had a great variety and a big dining area. The room was the biggest out of the three hotels I stayed at in the country. The room was comfy with a large tv. Had a pretty view of the water from the property.

This is a mixed review. While we liked the hotel itself (nothing fancy, but perfect for what we needed), there were some negative aspects. The hotel is right off the main highway 1 near Vik so the location is great. It is up on a hill so it has a magnificent view of the sea and black sand beach. The rooms are spacious and clean. We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet. It had a great selection of meats, cheeses, eggs, pastries, etc. What we didn't enjoy however was the noise. This hotel is larger and seems to cater to some tour groups. While there were some louder, younger guests, the main issue was the constant banging of doors. We were a few rooms away from one of the entry doors and you could hear it slam shut after every guest. Again, with it being a larger hotel with large groups, this door seemed to be used constantly. We also could hear people walking/running and closing the doors to their individual rooms. This constant noise made it difficult to sleep until later in the evening when others seem to settle down as well. So in general the hotel was good, just the noise really took away from the experience.

Beautiful view but not worth the premium price. Dinner option was buffet with big tour groups at £45 each. Next time I would stay in Vik and go to nice restaurants there.
