Most beautiful well run hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The room was so well done and the shower was amazing. Prettiest tiles on the walls and floors that I’ve ever seen. Comfortable, clean and everything you could want there. Only happy memories of this place.
Probably one of the best hotels I have every stayed in when traveling internationally. The hotel was beautiful, very clean, and the entire staff was so friendly and helpful! The rooms (we had two for our family who came) were each so lovely, and the restaurant on Floor 7 was AWESOME! Such delicious food and a bar that was great. Yulialia the bartender was our favorite, so very friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant's evening manager was so accomodating and helpful! The front desk staff ALWAYS had a smile on their face and welcomed me back to the hotel. They took care of every need we had! I would highly recommend this hotel. Dixie from the U.S.A.
We stayed at Hotel Motto for 6 days and 5 nights in March 2025.
We arrived early and were greeted by a lovely staff member who made us Cafe latte while our room was prepared. We got access to the room a few hours early.
The room was beautiful, uniquely decorated and set up in a very convenient manner with the toilet in a decorative sound proofed little room separate from the sink and shower so that one could use the washing facilities separately. It was quiet and comfortable.
We dined at the rooftop restaurant once. Popular for the view by non- hotel patrons.
Our meal was delicious and also hosted by friendly and solicitous staff.
The hotel is around the corner from the subway and a few steps from several bus lines one of which goes directly to the Hauptbahnhof train station, which we used to getvto/ ftom our train. We used other bus lines to get around as well as the metro which takes you to the famous Innere Stadt in a few minutes.
The hotel is across from Cafe Ritter, a well known old cafe with delicious food and pastries, including reasonably priced hot meals. There is also a pastry shop attached to the hotel.
We used all these resources and came away pleased.
The metro is accessible forvoeople with mobility issues.
We got welcomed with a drink, the people at the front desk were nice, everyone explained everything about the hotel and they helped us in anything we needed. the only bad thing is that the heating system is all connected and we had to requested for them to turn it off as it was extremely hot and we couldn't turn it down not even a bit. other than that it was great.
The bartenders at the restaurant were very nice and kept us entertained most of the days. Definitely a good experience
This historic hotel is a hidden gem in Vienna. There is a great restaurant, both ambiance and food, on the roof that is reasonably priced. The location is great, close to everything - we walked to everything. The rooms are soundproofed and new. Most of all the service is top. Thank you!
Great service; staff really caters to guests’ needs. Conveniently located next to subway station makes it easy to go into downtown in under 10 minutes.
Beautifully decorated, unique hotel. Good area. Helpful staff. Rooms had a bit too much stuff in them for the space, but quite nice. On Expedia, the hotel is advertised as having a restaurant and lounge, but the restaurant is very full and difficult to access without advance reservations - run as a separate operation from the hotel. We were travelling as a group of 6 and it was disappointing not to have a lounge or bar to meet in while relaxing at the hotel before or after going out. But otherwise a very nice hotel.
Classy interiors and comfortable room
Great location with the U4 line station right at the doorstep
Lots of shopping and dining right outside the hotel including one of Viennas oldest cafes (Cafe Ritter)
The restaurant at the top of the hotel is definitely popular - we didn't eat there but it was always busy
Staff were friendly - they even kindly turned on the steam room and Sauna on request outside operating hours.
