This stay was for a disabled Army Veteran in a Wheelchair. He had returned back to the area after a long trip and unfortunately was down on his luck. He wasn't able to get into a transition facility while waiting to return to the Veterans Home. He had to find a place to stay that he could afford and Motel 6 seemed to be that place. He tried to get a handicap room due to his wheelchair, and they couldn't provide that. The room was small and even had a water leak around the sink area. They put some towels to in the area to soak up the water but that was it. Once notified about him being in town and needing help I paid for his room until he was able to get admitted to the Veterans home. He stayed at the hotel for 6 days and they were never able to get him in a handicap room. The hotel is older and definitely needs some work to clean it up. Bed wasn't comfortable but was a bed. Smell of weed was terrible from other rooms. Basically, you get what you pay for and be prepared for some long-term residents in the hotel as well.

They will try and scam you out of your deposit if any little towels get dirty. They said because there was some coffee that splashed over on the counter as i was pouring it down the sink 2 tidy up the room be4 checkout that i stained there towels so they were keeping my deposit even tho most of the sheets towels sheets blanket all had stains on them. The big miserable lady at the front desk was so rude and didnt want 2 give her name which is Bernice eww and when i asked if i could speak to a manager or some1 else about the issue she brought out a India girl who didnt seem to be the real manager whos name was Davi. They refused 2 give me any higher form of management contact info n said to look it up online. I tried 2 reason with them asking " so if some1 spills something in the room what do they cleannit with?" A towel u would think right but no she said " no u are supposed 2 ask us at the front desk and we will give u a rag." Never have i had 2 do that in anyother motel 6 i have stayed at and no where is that stated in the palerwork i signed. So be sure 2 take pics of the room right when u walk in and also if any of it has stains or is dirty them tell them right away so that they don't try n scam u out of ur deposit.

This was the floor towel ur supposed 2 use when u get out the shower and was hanging over the tub which got dirty cause the floor was dirty but they charged me for it smh
They keep the room towels stacked on right next 2 the sink which is why the small 1 on the left has a little coffee on but I was still charged for it even tho I could have ran the rag under some hot water n ring it out n it would have been clean agai

Best Motel 6 in all of Barstow. The other one is crap. This one has a POOL. AND ITS NICE
