Needs some TLC

The hotel was very close and convenient to us while we were in town for a funeral. Overall, I would say our stay was okay. The room and bathroom was clean, and the bed was comfortable. However, the hotel overall is badly in need of refurbishing. Lot’s of things were broken (in our room and all over the hotel), paint touch up that did not match, missing towel bars, doors were difficult to open the electronic locks (for everyone, not just us), just to name a few things. Also, the breakfast was pitiful (not for my sister-in-law who had the waffle and thought it was great). My husband also thought the biscuits were okay, but the eggs and bacon were not good at all. Anyway, just a lot of little things that added up to make it a mediocre stay. On a scale of 1-5, I would give it a 3.

The hotel staff was very friendly. The hotel room appeared clean but the soap and shampoo in the room were both empty. The tv stand was broken so the tv was leaning sideways and the fridge while it worked real good was falling thru the bottom of the shelf. Water was hot though. Breakfast area was clean.

First off, the room that we booked was given away and had to settle for a double queen room. The AC did not blow cold, and the TV was very outdated. Over night the power wend out and there was no communication. The continental breakfast was very pour.

I have stayed there a number of times, but this time our stay had a power outage on 2 days of our stay. Saturday the outage was 4 hours, Sunday was 7hours. WE HAD TO SHOWER IN TH DARK, SLEEP IN TH DARK, SLEEP WITH NO AIR, NO TV, HAD TO WARE WRINKLE CLOTHES ALL BECAUSE WE HAD NO POWER. UPON LEAVING I ASKED IF THEY COULD GIVE A DISCOUNT FOR ALL OF THE INCONENIENCE THAT WE HAD TO DEAL WITH AND I WAS TOLD NO, BECAUSE A TRANSFORMER HAD BLOWN, BUT ONLY HALF OF THE HOTEL WAS OUT OF POWER. I WAS VERY UPSET WHEN I LEFT AND NO ONE APOLOGIZED OR SAID ANYTHING ELSE ABOUT WHAT WE WENT THROUGH, THEY DIDN; T SEEM TO CARE A BIT ABOUT WHAT HAD HAPPENED. I WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN. WE BOOKED ANOTHER NIGHT WITH ANOTHER HOTEL!!!!!!!!!!

The hotel is very rundown. The room smells like smoke and was very dirty. I didn't even want to sit down in the chairs. Tiles missing in the bathroom the room smelled bad just an overall horrible experience.

Everything was great until the morning. Like they even gave me silverware so I could eat my dinner. But in the morning, I get the 756 email asking me if I’ve checked out or when I’m checking out. I went back to sleep. Then at 8:56 I get a knock on my door. Then at 9:56 they return and I yell at the cleaning person because it says noon check out.

While the front desk staff was friendly upon check in & helpful, the bedding had not been changed and was covered in other peoples hair. When I asked for a fresh sheet the front desk didn’t act like they were surprised nor apologize for the inconvenience. I brought in my pillow & blankets for the night & didn’t bother to use any of the other amenities like shower or towels because of the state of the bedding.
