interesting house in a lovely rural area, the heated swimming pool was excellent.. Owner was quick to answer emails but unfortunately we didnt get to meet him. We had everything we needed in the house but one or two things needed attention, the fridge door was broken which meant that it was icing up and we had to push door to close it. The sleeping arrangements were not clear in the description and the grandparents ended up sleeping in bunk beds.in a very sweet little house in the garden, amongst the bamboo...fortunately grandad is still quite agile!! There was no light in the outside. bathroom! There is a nice little coffee shop/bar in the village and also a good small local supermarket. We enjoyed our stay exploring the local area as well as going further afield

Tranquil bliss

My wife and I stayed a week with our two dogs. The garden is fully enclosed so the dogs could just wander about. The pool area is also fenced off so the dogs can’t go in. And yes the pool really is heated and it was wonderful. You do need a car to explore the area. We went into the mountains to explore the waterfalls on some days and down to the various beaches on others. Thanks to Manuel for being a wonderful host. We hope to come back in the future.

A dream of a Villa

This was our first trip to Portugal and it didn’t disappoint. The weather, the food, the cost and the people were all totally wonderful. What made it so special was the Villa we stayed in. It was exactly as the advert described. Beautiful, extremely private and very well equipped. The swimming pool was perfect and wonderfully heated. However what made it extra special was our wonderful host Manuel who went out of his way to make this visit extra special. If I needed a question answered or a bit of advice he responded to every question or query extremely promptly and always with courtesy. We felt extra safe and secure knowing that we were being taken care of. A car is a must for staying here but the roads are very easy to navigate and drive on. I cannot recommend the Clockhouse Villa, Vrbo or Manuel highly enough. I will definitely be looking to coming back. Thank you it really was a perfect stay. X

We really loved our stay here. It was relaxing and beautiful and the house was wonderfully fitted out. The heated pool was perfect for our 3-year-old and we have very fond memories of teaching him to doggy paddle in there. This was a great base to explore the area: I now just have to learn Portuguese to communicate a bit better with the locals!

Aangenaam rustig verblijf, auto is een must. Slaapkamers wel zonder degelijke fysieke afscheiding hetgeen probleem van privacy kan geven. Enig minpuntje is gebrek aan kleerkastruimte.

Entspannter Urlaub in besonderer Location

Das Clockhaus ist versteckt gelegen am Hang. Jede Menge Bambus sorgt für eine sehr private Atmosphäre. Das gesamte Areal ist eingezäunt, so dass unser Hund sich frei bewegen konnte. Das Haus selbst ist wunderschön und liebevoll eingerichtet. Die dicken Steinmauern sorgen für eine erträgliche Kühle, auch wenn es draußen heiß ist. Daher stört es nicht, dass keine Klimaanlage, sondern lediglich eine Heizung (die man im Sommer aber nicht braucht) vorhanden ist. Allerdings zieht das Haus durch die Mauern gerne Feuchtigkeit - wir sind an einem Regentag angereist - so dass der vorhandene Luftentfeuchter wirklich Sinn macht und von uns auch gerne in Anspruch genommen wurde. Da die Temperaturen vor Ort auch im Sommer durch den meist vorherrschenden lebhaften Wind vom Atlantik her die 25 Grad selten übersteigen, ist der beheizte Pool sehr angenehm. Besonders nett fanden wir, dass wir jeden Morgen frische Semmel (Brötchen) im Briefkasten fanden. Ein schöner Service des hilfsbereiten und stets ansprechbaren Vermieters Manuel. Für unseren Geschmack ist das Geschirr etwas knapp bemessen, so dass die Spülmaschine entweder halb leer laufen musste, um am nächsten Tag wieder sauberes Geschirr zur Verfügung zu haben oder wir eben von Hand spülen mussten. Ansonsten hat alles perfekt gepasst und wir haben mit unseren beiden Kindern (14 und 17) und unserem Hund einen traumhaften Urlaub verbracht.

Idyllisch gelegenes Haus

Wir haben die Privatsphäre des Hauses genossen und den gut geheizten Pool. Der Vermieter ist sehr hilfsbereit. Viana do Castelo ist über die Autobahn unkompliziert in 20 Min zu erreichen. Das nahe Vila P de Ancora hat einen schönen Strand und eine gute Infrasrruktur. Einzige Anmerkung Ausstattung des Hauses ist teilweise etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Bei mehreren Erwachsenen sollte auf die Zimmeraufteilung geachtet werden

Wunderschönes Haus mit Pool

Das Cockhouse hat unsere Erwartungen in jeder Hinsicht erfüllt, teilweise auch übertroffen. Es liegt sehr ruhig in einer leicht hügeligen Gegend, das ganze Grundstück ist von einer dichten und hohen Hecke aus Bambus umgeben, so dass wir völlig für uns waren. Aufgrund der Bauweise - dicke Natursteine - ist das Haus auch bei hohen Außentemperaturen angenehm kühl. Das Baden im Pool hat super Spaß gemacht. Der Garten bietet vielfältige Möglichkeiten für Betätigung (Kicker!) und Entspannung. Manuel, der sehr freundliche Vermieter, war jederzeit für uns ansprechbar. Das Meer ist in kurzer Zeit erreichbar, und an Ideen für wir interessante Ausflüge in die Umgebung war kein Mangel. Eines der besten Ferienhäuser, die wir jemals hatten!

Maison agréable mais ...

Maison agréable mais il demeure tout de même quelques dysfonctionnements. Mais attention , le gérant essaie tout de même de régler les petits soucis. Nous avons été accueilli par une personne ( son épouse ?) ne parlant pas beaucoup notre langue, alors anglais oblige mais chacun , fait comme il peut!! Maison propre, décorée par des tableaux d'artistes mais un peu sombre pour nous. Attention, il y a de l'humidité malgré l'appareil mis à disposition. La climatisation ne marchait pas. Nous avons tout de même passé un bon séjours, les villes à voir aux alentours sont très belles! Le Gérant fait le maximum pour les vacanciers (pain frais tout les matins dans la boîte: Chapeau!!!). Piscine agréable , beaux extérieurs et position stratégique pour découvrir les alentours en voiture. Grande déception: la seconde salle de bain se situe à l'extérieur: mes adolescents ont utilisé celle de ma chambre pendant tous le séjours!! Mais bon, cela n'a pas gâché nos vacances , ce sont mes enfants! Je conseillerai cette location pour un couple , en amoureux ou un couple avec des enfants. 2 couples : ça ne fonctionne pas: il faut passer par la chambre principale pour aller dans la salle de bain de la maison! Enfin, bonne situation de la location, mais nous n'avons pas eu les informations pour visiter les alentours du village. Voiture nécessaire pour de belles excursions du Portugal du Nord! De plus, une meilleure communication devrait être mis en place dés l'arrivée pour la caution . Conclusion: agréable petite maison, atypique mais fonctionnelle. Quelques détails sont à revoir mais franchement , on passe de bonnes vacances et bon point de départ pour visiter le nord du Portugal.

Estupenda

La casa tiene una situación perfecta para poder disfrutar de la zona norte de Portugal y descubrir sus lugares de interés. La casa del Reloj tiene muchísimo encanto. Está dotada de todo lo necesario para pasar unos días estupendos en ella, aprovechando la piscina, y de sus exteriores o de las posibilidades que ofrece en su interior. Manuel estuvo pendiente de que entráramos a ella sin problemas. Un lugar genial.

Wunderschöner Rückzugsort

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit. Super freundliche und unkomplizierte Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber. Der Pool war so warm, dass wir ihn auch bei mittelmäßigem Wetter nutzen konnten. Strände sind mit dem Auto gut erreichbar (10-15 Minuten Fahrtzeit). Liebevoll eingerichtet, perfekt für Familien mit Kleinkindern.

Wir haben die Ruhe des Ortes und die tolle frische Luft sehr genossen, auch der beheizte Pool war im April sehr willkommen. Das Haus hat alles was man braucht und liegt wunderschön, um von dort aus zu wandern, an den Strand zu gehen oder mit dem Fahrrad zu fahren. Wir haben kein Auto gemietet, aber mit dem Fahrrad ist alles gut erreichbar gewesen. Ein kleiner Laden mit allem notwendigen ist um die Ecke, ein Café in der Nähe. Die Übergabe hat problemlos funktioniert. Eine super Surfschule ist auch nur 15 min mit dem Fahrrad entfernt, ebenso wie Restaurants. Wir danken Manuel für den angenehmen Aufenthalt.

ESTANCIA EN LA CASA DEL RELOJ

La estancia en este alojamiento nos ha parecido muy buena, ya que dispone de todos los servicios de una vivienda. Dispone de un jardín espectacular que hace que resulte muy privado y discreto, y además cuenta con piscina climatizada. Una casa muy bien acondicionada y muy acogedora. Hemos disfrutado mucho en nuestra estancia. El contacto con Manuel como propietario es muy agradable y eficaz. Todo han sido facilidades. Para repetir! César

Tranquilidade

Sítio ótimo para relaxar, fora da confusão, mas com todos os acessos bem pertinhos ( supermercado , auto-estrada, praias) A casa está muito bem equipada e o lugar é Fantástico. Piscina a 31 graus é a cereja no topo do bolo 😉
