Independent apartment for 4 people on the ground floor of the owner's house on wooded and enclosed land located in Ver sur mer 200 meters from the sea. Tennis, mini golf opposite, pony club sailing school in season. Accessible to people with reduced mobility.

Site of the landing beaches, near Arromanche, Courseulles, Bayeux, Port en Bessin and Caen.

All comfort: living room with equipped American kitchen: oven, electric hob, fridge, microwave, grill, coffee maker, toaster, iron, flat screen tv, English channels, DVD player, board games. Washing machine. 2 bedrooms with tv, one with a 140 cm bed plus a baby bed and one with two 90 cm beds. 2 bathrooms with wc, one of which is adapted for people with reduced mobility.

Very nice property

We had wanted to visit the British memorial at Ver-sur-Mer and found this property on VRBO. It was exactly as described, clean and well presented. It would be ideal for people with reduced mobility as it is on one level with a generously sized accessible bathroom. The sea is only a short walk away, and the memorial is close by.The concierge service was especially good, and Dominique was an exemplary host. We would happily recommend this property for couples or families as an ideal place to stay in this area.

Fantastic !

We are 4 adults with 1 disabled adult . This is a great accessible cottage . Swimming pool is a bonus 👌 Would recommend for all including familys Well equipped, everything you need . Perfectly located next to the British DDay memorial. Would definatly stay again .

Fantastic location

The lower portion of the home is where we stayed while the owner was in the upper portion. It was perfect for our needs with 3 beds and 2 washrooms. The location was perfect for seeing all the WW2 D-Day beaches and a short drive to so many other sites and museums! We were ther for 5 days and had more we could have done. The home was well equipped with enough towels for all 4 of us, shower gel and a nice welcoming basket with local apple juice, pear cider and biscuits (cookies). All were very delicious!

Wonderful property , great location.

We spent a week here visiting the D Day beaches . The property is in a wonderful location and there is so much to see in the surrounding areas, such a beautiful part of France. The property itself was more than we had hoped for, my husband is in a wheelchair and the accessibility was really good, a ramped entrance and plenty of room to move around easily inside the living area , bedroom and huge wet room.. The owners are a lovely couple who live in the upper part of the property’, they were very helpful and friendly. They had thought of everything , the property is very well equipped and spotlessly clean., we also had a welcome basket of local cider, apple juice and biscuits. There is a lovely heated indoor swimming pool and just a short stroll across the road is gold beach where you can walk for miles, there’s also a really good restaurant in the village, but you do need to book . We really enjoyed our stay here and are planning to go back again. Highly recommended.

The property is ideally situated for trips to the D Day beaches. There is parking next to the house with electric gates for security. It is located on Gold beach with Juno a short drive away. Arromanches is only 20 mins drive. Ver-sur-Mer is a quiet village right next to the sea. It has a pharmacy and small bar/café but food shopping requires a drive.

Lovely property in the centre of Normandy and ideal for visiting this historic location.

This is a lovely property for up to 4 people. Very well equipped with everything you could need. Owners very welcoming and friendly. Local shops just a short drive away and beach just a few minutes walk. Myself and my son stayed here in September 2019. During our trip we visited every beach of D-day which is why we came here. Good location to explore Normandy

This is a well located property to visit the attractions of Normandy. Whilst there we were able to easily access the D Day beaches, Mont St Michel, Bayeaux and Caen. Guests can easily walk to a local restaurant if home cooking is not for you. The property has off street parking and with two bathrooms and suits couples travelling together. The host was polite and friendly. Potential guests should check beforehand regarding a substantial security deposit as this was required of us at checkin.....although this was reduced when we couldn’t readily assemble so much cash. We were not aware of this requirement until we arrived st the property. Guests also should bring any consumables such as condiments, cleaning materials, disinfectant, dish washing liquid, cooking oil, tea and coffee as these were not available. Even toilet paper was quite limited. This is a nice, older style property but guests should come well prepared.

Great accommodations on the beaches of Normandy

We were in France visiting our exchange student and traveled to visit the beaches of Normandy. Catherine's home is beautiful.You have access to a lovely garden were we sat outside and had dinner an played cards. The lower floor of the home is all yours with 2 large bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The kitchen has everything you need to cook. It is well cared for and decorated with love. We had a great time in Normandy and this was the perfect place. I would recommend it to anyone traveling through the area!

Location, location, location.Great stay for exploring D-Day beaches...minutes from Arromanches.

The ext. of this gated home was attractive & in good repair. The owners, Catherine & Dominique were on-site upon our arrival. The welcome basket of apple juice, cidre & normand cookies was much appreciated. The CASH deposit was collected & returned promptly after inspection. Our hosts had helpful info. on nearby sites & activities. Upon our request for a dinner recommendation, they were so kind as to make us reservations. Made beds, towels helped us settle in quickly. The house was as in the photos. The back bedroom was separated by a door. Its small bath was quite cramped. If you can do without a "living room" then all is well. We missed this feature in the evenings, but we were able to play games at the large table which has 4 straight chairs & 2 upholstered chairs in the common area with a small flat screen TV w/ Eng. channels. Everything was available for us to prepare & eat meals: two hotplate burners, a toaster oven & microwave. No oven. A grill was mentioned, but not provided. Toilet paper & trash bags were onsite at the outset, everything else, including small things like coffee filters, salt, pepper & dish soap, were not. In other rentals, these 4 items, were onsite. We left these items on the shelf for the next renters, gave everything else to owners. Our two negatives were 1. the large spiders that greeted us on the first night when we arrived home after dinner. We were told Sept/Oct is the time when spiders come indoors. Since this "apartment" is in the lower half of the owners' house at ground level with lovely hydrangea bushes all around, it is an entry point via doors & open windows, although shuttered with electric controls. Despite our owners coming immediately with the sweeper and ridding us of the ones we killed, & others that 1st evening; they were with us throughout our stay. Flashlights upon waking to check floors & ceilings! They left us "Spider Stop" to spray at access points, but it was an ineffective deterrent. Broom was useful. Creepy for others, but I am phobic! 2. There was a pervasive mustiness from the humidity that permeated the atmosphere, our clothes & cpap machines. By far, the most troublesome feature. Keeping the windows closed (spiders), there was no way to circulate the air & dry out the dampness. Only a dehumidifier, small fans & a good cleaning would have resolved the mildew present. The small ceiling fan in the large bathroom wasn't independent of the ceiling lights, so impractical to run 24/7. Seasonal?

Die Ferienwohnung ist toll gelegen, in einem kleinen Ort direkt am Meer. Trotz der Lage ist Ver-sur-mer kein überlaufener Touristenort, was uns sehr gut gefallen hat.Die Ferienwohnung entsprach der Beschreibung. Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen, auch mit einem kleinen Präsentkorb (vielen Dank dafür). Die Wohnung war sehr ordentlich und mit Liebe für's Detail eingerichtet. Alles, was wir benötigten, war vor Ort. Das großzügige Gartengelände durften wir nutzen. Der Indoor-Pool hat uns großen Spaß gemacht.Es gibt sehr wenige Kritikpunkte. Die alten Holzmöbel müffeln ein wenig nach Vergangenheit, das muss nicht jeder mögen. Auf den Betten konnten wir nicht optimal schlafen, aber das ist vielleicht eine Frage der Gewohnheit.Checkin/Checkout sind über eine Conciergerie organisiert. Der Empfang klappte gut (Telefonanruf 15 Minuten vor Ankunft). Für den Checkout muss man am Tag zuvor telefonisch die Abreisezeit melden. Als wir am späten Nachmittag anriefen, war niemand erreichbar. Hier wäre ein besprechbarer Anrufbeantworter (mehrsprachig!) und/oder ein E-Mail-Kontakt wünschenswert. Die Firma war am Abreisetag erst 9 Uhr erreichbar. Dort war man sauer, dass wir eine halbe Stunde später abreisen wollten. Die Firma scheint keinen Überblick über die Vermietung der betreuten Wohnungen zu haben, denn bis 11 Uhr muss man abgereist sein.Das ist ein Kritikpunkt, der an die Firma geht, nicht an die Vermieter, die stets sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit waren!Danke für einen tollen Urlaub!
