Disliked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities
This was the WORST experience I’ve ever had renting a home. We had a family member pass away in a tragic accident and had to fly from Colorado to California last minute. We wanted someplace to stay that was comfortable and close to the water and this place fit the bill. We flew into California on Friday evening and planned to be at the property Saturday and Sunday, after the funeral, to rest and relax. After the funeral on Saturday and spending time with friends and family, we were mentally and physically depleted and ready to check in to the property. When I called asking for directions, I was told that it wasn’t available, that Expedia should not be advertising it for rent. My husband was very upset and arguing with the property host/representative. She informed him that it wasn’t occupied at the time, but we still couldn’t stay there. She blamed it on Expedia and said they don’t usually rent it for such a short stay. This left us exhausted on Saturday evening of Labor Day weekend, trying to find an open room to stay in. We ended up finding a room at a local hotel that was not a great experience and ended with my husband slipping in their tub and getting a concussion. WORST EXPERIENCE!!!!
