I have stayed in many VRBO rentals but NEVER have I had such a bad experience. The description states clearly that the kitchen is "fully stocked" well it isn't. There were two cups, two coffee cups, three forks, no bowls for mixing and cooking. The toilet leaked all over the kitchen floor before and after the plumber "fixed" it, the washer has mold and mildew in it, there were not ample linens, the beds had dirt in them, the mattresses have pee stains on them, the "hot" water is not hot, when I went to load the dishwasher, there were dirty dishes in it from the former renters, that explained the smell. The wifi did NOT work and the host said "it is hit or miss" because it's Venice, but I have stayed at about 12 different properties in Venice and they had wifi that they advertised as having. When we attempted to get resolution for some of these issues the host told VRBO that it is a fishing town and all of this was acceptable. They advertise this place for 7-9 people to stay, they advertise a pull out couch that leans and doesn't pull out and even if it did, there are no linens for it. The entire house leans to the point that the doors will not stay opened or closed. When I washed the towels, I had to wash them a second time because when I took them out of the washer, they drug across the mildew and mold that was on the washer seal. The light in the kitchen was a strobe light, it would not work properly, so cooking in the dark was just a blast. TV doesn't work. Terrible.
