Having an apartment overlooking a canal in Venice says it all but we feel we should add a few more positives. The neighborhood is Venetian and real, only a hop, skip, or jump from the popular tourist areas. The apartment has lots of windows as it’s a corner unit. We rarely use the heat, but it was a nice, efficient option as we were there during a very rainy time. The bathroom had a great shower and plenty of amenities. The kitchen had everything you need The bed was big and comfortable and the chairs in the living room/dining room were a bonus The welcome basket of goodies was very appreciated as well. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay in Venice at this apartment. Our only recommendation would be for more lighting in all of the room, especially the bathroom . A very simple fix.

Great stay

Maria was excellent about giving clear instructions, and was helpful with navigating around Venice. The location of the apartment was perfect, really easy to get to, and in a quiet neighborhood. Lots of very close excellent food choices, and the best gelato I’ve ever had just a couple of blocks away! I will be staying here again in the future!

Perfect for our visit

We stayed for five nights in this clean, comfortable, well equipped apartment which is very conveniently located; the area is quiet and yet everything is close by. The apartment looks out onto a canal and we found a bakery, a greengrocer and plenty of restaurants all very close by as well as being only a few minutes from the train station and a vaporetto stop. The host is welcoming and helpful and check-in was easy. A very enjoyable stay.

Great Location

We enjoyed staying in a quieter area of Venice right on a canal where we could watch boats go by! It was conveniently located close to the water bus station to leave for the airport. Many stores and restaurants nearby. The kitchen allowed us to cook some meals in and we washed clothes in the washer and hung them on the line over the canal to dry! Our host was in frequent contact to provide recommendations and information. We would definitely recommend!!

Good place

Third stay - we love being away from the crowds but having easy access to transport / airport 1 stop away and boats easily reached on both sides of the island. Variety of eating options close at hand. The apartment easy to be in - comfortable main bedroom. Communications were flawless.

Quiet Retreat in busy Venice

Maria Teresa was great; She met us at the Alilaguna stop as our phones were't working. She showed us the local grocery store and bakery. The apartment was clean, had sugar and coffee and she even left us a bottle of prosecco! Everything was easy to visit and it was away form the crowds with a wonderful view of a quiet canal. We found local restaurants within a 5 minute walk as well as Tintoretto's local church and burial place! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Charming apartment in the north of Venice.

This is a charming place to stay in an excellent neighbourhood away from the crowds. Our host's assistant met us at the train station and walked us to to the apartment, about a 10 minute walk. It was about a 30 minute walk to the Guggenheim museum, etc. in the southern part of Venice, and it was easily accessible via vaporetto (water bus). This was a very relaxing place to have breakfast at home before venturing out and to return to at end of day. Grazie mille to Maria Teresa and Marcella!

Perfect for us

We liked being in Cannaregio, as quiet a part of Venice as you’ll find. We loved exploring the old Jewish Gheto. The apartment was comfortable, cozy. Maria Teresa gave us a nice restaurant recommendation, her housekeeper met us at the train station and walked us (about 10 minutes with a few small bridges). If you fly into Venice, it’s one stop on the water bus and only a 3 minute walk.

Lovely Venetian apartment!

This is a lovely little apartment in Cannaregio, Venice. Away from the hustle and bustle, but near enough to eateries and “Strada Nova”. Very close to Water taxi and to Marco Polo airport. Communication with the owner was wonderful. Overall we would highly recommend this property.

The apartment is in a great non-tourist location, yet a convenient walk or vaporetto ride to the sites of Venice. After a busy day touring it was very nice to get back to the Cannaregio area. We were very comfortable there during our stay in Venice. There are several restaurants, bars, and a supermarket nearby. Maria Theresa provided a great orientation to the area and was a pleasure to work with from the initial inquiry.

Charming, peaceful flat in lovely Cannaregio, central to everything

Maria Teresa is a wonderful host who provided us with treasured memories of Venice. She was responsive and helpful with all our inquiries. The location is near the vaporetto (1 stop from Marco Polo airport) and within easy access of all the sites - Rialto Bridge, San Marco etc. Yet it's far enough away from the heavily touristy areas to give you a flavour of the real Venice. The place was spotless and she welcomed us with a bottle of lovely wine. The WiFi was great - always important! We suggest a place called Vino Vero for wine and Cicceti (tapas), which is very close by. I would definitely book this place again.

Best best property ever!!! Overlooking a beautiful canal in an extremely charming neighborhood very close to restaurants and grocery stores. The host stayed in constant touch with us prior to the trip. The wonderful housekeeper welcomed us at the bus terminal and walked with us to the apartment. The apartment itself is incredible. Super clean and has everything you need. Every little detail is taken care of, from laundry detergent to mosquito repellent to a well stocked spice pantry. I fell in love with Venice in large part due to this beautiful home.

A lovely small exceptionally clean apartment in the gorgeous non touristy part of Venice

This lovely small apartment was ideal for sightseeing and living like a local. The airconditioning was excellent in the living room and kitchen area, but there was only a fan in the bedroom. When you open the shutters and see the canal through the window, you gasp at the beauty. Excellent restaurants and stores within a few minutes walk. The correspondence with the owner via email was EXCELLENT. She even arranged to leave us bread, butter, honey, jam, and coffee for our first few breakfasts!

We were pleasantly surprised on the greatness of this place. Beautiful, spacious, natural light, comfortable, and great bathroom. Beds are hit or miss, it was comfortable for me and too hard for my husband. Host had comfy and safe crib for our 11 mo. infant. Location is great near bars and restaurants and vaporetto and aliguna to the airport.

Great Place, not managed well.

We loved the place. The kitchen was well equipt and I was able to cook friends a lovely dinner. The view was great, a canal right outside. Our issues were that we had trouble in that the number they provided to get in touch and tell them our later arrival time didn't work and they didn't get the text. So when we arrived at the station we called a few different versions of the number, 2 numbers in the beginning removed, and it worked and when we did get in touch I got quite scolded by her helper, and more than a couple times we were spoken to about it distastefully. It colored the first evening of our trip, feeling like we had done something wrong. When she walked us to the apt, things were still drying waiting to be put away, as if our lack of calling caused them not to take our reservation and full down payment seriously. Her helpers attitude dismayed our experience. Also, there was no bathroom soap at all, and we kept forgetting to pick some up while we were out touring Venice, so we spent the four days showering with no soap or shampoo, which wasn't very nice. I wish they would have had some soap available.

Appartment was perfect for us, clean and spacious for us a as couple, ideally located from airport.

The apartment had everything we needed and located in a quiet area of the city, with only a short walk to bars and restaurants. (A bit of a map to the supermarket would have been useful as we did get confused finding that). We spent 3 days in Venice and spent hours walking around the canals and bridges. Beautiful! highly recommend the city and the apartment to anyone wanting a break away.

Quiet area of Canneregio

Cute, quiet little apartment in a residential area yet a quick two canal walk to a large main road (Strada Nova). Everything worked out well. It was easy dealing with Maria Teresa and she sent Marcella to rescue us a couple streets away when our GPS wasn't cooperating...... Would stay here again.
