Beware of construction

1st, a building is being demolished across the street, noise started at 730am. The positives, the staff were friendly and helpful. The view to the water from the mini balcony was nice. It's close walking distance to many shops & attractions. Sadly, the whole suite could use a serious deep clean.

Old property not well maintained

Rundown and not well maintained old property. Smelled molds and stuffy. It wan not clean well. Receptionist was explaining about additional charge for the 3rd person which I already booked for our family of 3. However located in a great location in downtown Vancouver where lots of amenities within walking distance. Had a great city view from the room including water front.

Strong, safe location at a great rate…

Wanted an inexpensive place to stay on the right side of downtown for a concert at The Commodore and the price and location were great. Definitely dated in terms of decor but that wasn’t an issue for us - we just wanted a close, clean, secure place to stay for one night. This did the trick. And did it well.

Great location, helpful and friendly staff but building and unit is not being maintained. Leaky taps in kitchen and bath, rocky toilet, wall paper ripped on elevator walls, no floor indicator lights in elevator etc

The stay was fine. Hotel is outdated. Would be helpful to have the tropicana sign on the door that goes into the lobby to the front desk as it is not super visible. pull out hide a bed was uncomfortable so could put a mattress topper on it

The carpet was old and torn. The bathroom ceiling was falling apart and on the verge of falling down. The drapes were so dry rotted, it was falling apart with touched. The place smelt old.

Great location closecto cruise port, Seawall and Sranley Park. Lots of shops and restaurants closeby. Nice size suite apartment but the property is VERY dated and in disrepair. The staff was amazing! Super friendly, helpful and gave us lots of great recommendations.

Great staff and location. Building is older and no A/C, which is fine since there are windows. But mainly wish there were screens on the windows to prevent pigeons from entering the unit (which happened a couple times during my stay).
