Alter DDR Stil aus den 70ger Jahren. Ungemütlich. Alles total veraltet. Wir waren die einzigen Gäste!!! Von wegen letztes Zimmer ergattert! Dementsprechend war das Frühstücksbuffett, nämlich gar keins. Wir bekamen einen Teller mit Wurst und Käse an den Tisch und das wars. Der Preis viel zu teuer für diese Absteige mit diesem mini Frühstück. Und sowas nennt sich Hotel. Unglaublich. Alles geschlossen dort. Nichts zu unternehmen. Nirgends konnten wir was trinken gehen. Nichts in der Nähe. Einmal und nie wieder!!!

Je nach Jahreszeit und Wetter sind die Bedingungen optimal zum Baden und zum Wandern, insbesondere mit eigenem Hund. Das Hotel erlaubt das Mitführen von Hunden und bietet hierfür hervorragende Voraussetzungen. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig, da das Hotel am Ende einer Sackgasse liegt. Man ist zu Fuß schnell im Wald entlang des Saaletals. Wanderwege gibt es ausreichend. Im Hotel Saalestrand gibt es vielseitige Spielmöglichkeiten für Familien mit und ohne Kinder. Das Frühstück war im Übernachtungspreis enthalten und ließ keine Wünsche offen. Auf Nachfrage gab es auch Kakao für die Kinder. Schade, dass die Öffnungszeiten des Restaurants aufgrund des derzeitigen Personalmangels nur bis 17 Uhr (für Hausgäste auch etwas länger) möglich sind. Alles in allem ein schöner Aufenthalt und sehrzu empfehlen.

Het hotel ligt op een prachtige plek aan de Hohewarte stausee. Kamer 8 heeft een balkon met schitterend uitzicht. Het hotel is oud en alles kraakt. Maar het uitzicht maakt alkes goed. Ontbijt niet veel keus, maar voldoende. Diner prima met uitzicht op het meer vanaf het terras.

Erholsame und schöne Tage im Hotel Saalestrand

Für uns ein perfekter Aufenthalt in einem Hotel am besten Platz in dieser Bucht am Thüringer Meer. Das Zimmer und das Bad waren großzügig und sauber - eine Matraze war etwas schmal aber auch darauf hat man gut geschlafen. Freundliches und angenehm unkompliziertes Familiengeführtes Hotel am Saalestrand - gerne mal wieder.

Schöne Lage, ein bisschen DDR-Charme und viel Ruhe

Zum Hotel zu kommen war kompliziert, da es eine Straßenbaustelle gab und damit erhebliche Umleitung zu fahren war. Angekommen haben wir die Ruhe und den Ausblick vom Balkon des Zimmers genossen. Da wir am Ruhetag vor Ort waren, hatte das Restaurant des Hauses geschlossen; die einzige Gastronomie in der gesamten Ferienbucht. Ein Bistro war geöffnet mit Salat, Flammkuchen und Burger. Es war OK. Das Frühstück im Gasthaus war Standard mit einer Ausnahme: Die Küchenfee bot kein Ei an, sondern ihren selbst gemachten Eiersalat. Das kann morgens belebend sein...
