The Space:
Hazelwood Lodge consists of a kitchen/diner equipped with electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and dining seating for four guests and a mezzanine-style sitting room with Smart TV, WiFi and travel bed. The bedrooms are on the ground floor and consist of a double with en-suite shower room and a twin, along with a ground-floor shower room. Outside there is a balcony with furniture, barbecue and hot tub, as well as off-road parking for two cars. Within 2 miles you will find a shop and a pub and please note that one well-behaved dog is welcome but sorry, no smoking. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Hazelwood Lodge is a fantastic getaway for a group of friends or a family in Devon. Note: Guests also have access to a shared outside swimming pool. Note: Check-in from 4pm, check-out at 10am.
The Neighborhood:
The small rural North Devon village of High Bickington is set in the area known as 'Tarka country'. On a ridge above the Taw Valley boasting views towards Exmoor and Dartmoor, the village offers a Post Office, two pubs, a holistic beauty salon and Libbaton golf course. The small village of Umberleigh is only five miles away and has a railway station where trains run on the Tarka Line to Barnstaple or Exeter. Within driving distance is the historic town of Great Torrington, where you will find independent shops and Dartington glassworks where visitors can watch in wonder at the glassblowers, plus on the outskirts of town is Rosemoor, a garden of national importance with forty acres to delight and inspire a wide range of visitors. This area of North Devon has something for everyone including country walks, fishing and golf, as well as good access to a selection of wonderful beaches.
