We loved staying at Ananda Cottages. The setting is amazing we looked out over the rice paddies very picturesque. There are beautiful gardens around the villas and pools, it was very peaceful and relaxing. The staff were exceptional and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant is set around a large, landscaped eco pond where we enjoyed our meals. We highly recommend this stay!!

Ananda is a beautiful peaceful oasis in Ubud. The gardens and pools are lovely, the rooms very comfortable and spotlessly clean, the staff really friendly and helpful and the breakfast has a good selection of food. It’s a bit out of town but they have a free shuttle three times a day and you can get a taxi back for $5. You can walk it in 30 mins if you can cope with the heat. There are lots of shops and restaurants close by as well. We had two interconnecting rooms which suited us perfectly. Unfortunately they were upstairs which I only realised when we got there and this was a problem for my bad knee so do ask for downstairs rooms if you have any mobility issues. I will definitely stay here again if I go back to Ubud

Nice experience staying at the apartment. Lots of areas to explore. Only issue is the weak WIFI coverage, but that's a good excuse not to use electronic devices and just enjoy the stay.

I really loved the ambiance however I did not enjoy having to ring reception every time somebody needed to shower as there was no hot water. Also the air conditioner maintenance man spent more time in our room than we did.

The Gardens are spectacular. The whole property is an authentic Balinese envirenment. Rice fields, buildings, and the beautiful amazing gardens on the whole property. Lovingly taken care of by dedicated staff who have worked there for. Any years. Only complaint was the breakfasts have deteriorated recently, only vegan offering because of the high number of yoga practitioners who stay there 8 stays always very relaxing.

The hotel grounds, views and ambience really give an easy relaxed vibe. I enjoyed the ponds, flowers, fruit trees - even the lovely white duck (we named him Crispy lol) The staff were amazing - helpful and always smiling. I will stay here again.

Everything about our 2 night stay at the Ananda Cottages was fantastic from start to finish. Awesome service, awesome staff, magnificent food and surroundings. Our cottage was top notch. I can't fault the place. We will be back one day.

Beautiful hotel with a great atmosphere

Great friendly and very respectful staff they go out of there way to help you the atmosphere and culture is amazing and it's a different environment from the busy places such as kuta and seminyak if you want a quiet place to relax this is the place to go

Disjointed.

Hotel near vibey shops, cafes and restaurants. One pool located near our room. Staff friendly and helpful. Entrance to cottages not pleasant and cottages are isolated from each other. We were in a group so more suited to people wanting a retreat! Needs revamping!

We LOVED this spot!

We are a family of 4 (kids 12 and 15) and we LOVED our stay for a number of reasons. Due to airport closure (thanks to the volcano eruption) we arrived 6 hrs late at 3am. The staff were very friendly and two helped us down to our rooms. We were happy to find two adjacent rooms set our for us with connection via the balconies. One with King and the other had two singles, both with their own bathrooms and balconies. The hotel location was perfect for us. Out of Ubud center, but only a 15-20min walk away past the local supermarket (Bintang Market) full of groceries, drinks, local sim cards and upstairs was full of local tourism nicknacks. There are some GREAT restaurants within a 5-10 min walk such as The Elephant, the recently opened Dumbo (great coffee) and Warung Pulau Kelapa (great Indonesian). The 3 pools meant we always found a quiet spot to hang and the breakfast was lovely with freshly cooked omelets (our sons favorite) and a nice selection of fresh fruit. The staff were lovely and we couldn't speak more highly of room cleaner Wyan who made our room sparkle daily with beautiful flower arrangements on the bed :) Also super friendly whenever he spied us on the grounds. For the money this place is excellent. While you can find higher level resorts in Ubud, we would go back here in a second and it seems we are not the only ones to feel this way as we met a number of others there who told us they go there yearly. What more can we say?
